Looking forward to see how Polis rides Berwick. Think Polis is a decent rider might take a couple of races but I’m sure he will be ok at Berwick.
TheWellBehavedWorrall Posted yesterday at 05:00 PM Report Share Posted yesterday at 05:00 PM For Edinburgh to be going into this meeting with four guests is nothing short of a shambles. Calling them ”Edinburgh” is a complete stretch of the imagination. Yet again, only in speedway.
TheWellBehavedWorrall Posted yesterday at 05:02 PM Report Share Posted yesterday at 05:02 PM (edited) On a more positive note, Polis around the big, long track of Shielfield will be interesting. I’m expecting double figures. Edited 22 hours ago by TheWellBehavedWorrall
MB723
Shows how skilled Polis is, looked terrified his first race, comes out for his second one and looks like a completely different rider. He'll do well over here.

He'll do well over here. This is only the third time I’ve saw him, but I fully expect him to top the Monarchs’ average come the end of the season. Ashfield, Shielfield and Armadale are like nothing he’ll have ever encountered in Poland, but he’s scored sixteen across the first two meetings and he’s on five from two already tonight. For perspective, compare him to Matic Ivacic for us last season.

MB723
Do Edinburgh have a rider to pair with Polis to get a heat advantage, can't see anyone else beating Cook and Kemp?
TheWellBehavedWorrall
Really enjoyed that meeting. Tough on Edinburgh to take nothing from two last heat deciders over a 48 hour period, but they were depleted tonight. I thought Cook and Polis were the stand outs. Cook’s mid-meeting interview was great; really insightful and amazing to see him upbeat, then to seal the win with victory in heat fifteen was deserved. As I said, Polis will top the Edinburgh averages. No doubt about it. They’ve found a gem.

Bandit59
Well didn't expect that score fair play to the patched up Edinburgh,Polis is going to be a great prospect,if Sedgeman hadn't withdrawn would have been a different score, Craig and Drew carrying the Bandits who at the moment are basically a 6 man team, hopefully before the league starts Bastian will be more like the rider he was. Shadders
Well, Bandits made hard work of that one. Bastian Borke needs to stay in Denmark and focus on his fitness. He looked lost out there. But for Drew and Cookie this could’ve been embarrassing. Good to see Dale Wood in the points, a definite upgrade on Hodder. Tough weekend ahead with three meetings in three days. I can see the Bandits getting something from Armadale, but I fear they’ll get found out at home to Redcar on Saturday.

We certainly can’t have a Number 3 not scoring against aTeam like Redcar.Danyon and Sam haven’t really been consistent enough to make up for Bastion.

Mr Blobby
Done better than expected. Oskar again brilliant, very talented motorcyclist. Sussed the place out after his first ride. Shame Sedgy hand injury was aggravated, went over one of those holes in bend 3 which caused it. Slight concern as it doesn’t seem to have healed from last season so this may be an issue going forward as it seems he’s never actually going to be 100%. Thanks to the guest tonight, Pijper wasn’t disgraced, Harrison gave 100% just struggled out the starts, Edwards done his job and Jye was very good for his first meeting back was just running out of steam. Kye again awful. Not even stagnated anymore he’s actually going backwards.

Not that I can think of a great solution but is it worth the team considering Kye moving out and replacing him and Max with a more balanced pair? SteelShoe
First time i've seen Oskar Polis and he looks a classy intelligent speedway rider. Sedgy aggravating his broken wrist was tough on the Monarchs because he was gating well and looking quick. Cookie's gating was at it's best for the Bandits and he was looking fast, only beaten by an intelligent cut back from Polis in heat 13. From a Worky perspective it was good to see Jye getting a meeting in, hard to believe its not our first meeting until friday away at the Bears. Fromafar
Don’t get Alex Harkness comments about the Berwick track being” demanding” times were decent ,riders didn’t look to be having difficulties another case of “spoonful of dirt”.Sedgman done 64.9 in heat 1.,obviously his wrist injury is a cause for concern like he intimated, doesn’t bode well for the season if it is not 100%.
