That’s why most teams do it then!

We are lucky to have basically 2 number one riders so it makes sense to me

Emil and King

Emil and Brennan

Emil and Jenkins

Emil and Ellis

Much rather that then say r/r at 4 and each rider paired with Brennan

Emil should be the best rider on show no guarantee obviously…. So in his 5 rides if we can get 4-2 every time that’s a 10 point margin from a third of the races ….. stick r/r at 3 or and you run the risk of getting more 3-3’s

Its personal opinion but I think its the right move

If you think Emil is winning all of his heats then you’re very much mistaken… 2023 or 2024 Emil, maybe, but 2025 Emil, nope!

If I recall correctly he has certainly enjoyed his visits to Saddlebow Road over the last 2 years:

03.08.23 - 11+1 (4)

04.09.23 - 14 (5)

23.05.24 - 17+1 (6)

25.07.24 - 13+2 (5)

Only losing a single point to an opposing rider from 20 rides is untouchable. I would expect him to score 16 (6). The no T/S option in the cup will be of big benefit to Lynn.

Kvech will be in heat 8 so Sayfutdinov needs to cover that

I don't quite get that argument, Kvech could have 7 rides, Sayfutdinov can't cover all of them?

Anyway Kvech may not be in heat 8 if Kildemand is going well as Boughen can't be replaced.

My thinking is that as there are 6 third heat leaders / second strings in the Lynn team, there will be 12 races when 2 of them are out together, I'd want Sayfutdinov racing in those heats, not a race where he's guaranteed to only meet one of these stronger riders.

If Sayfutdinov is good enough to score a maximum, which I believe he is, it benefits Ipswich for him to have the toughest races, let his teammates pick up points in the "easier" races.

For your first point, I think most teams use r/r at 2 out of habit rather than planning, I'd totally agree with it if it was a second string missing not the second best rider.

Anyway we'll have to agree to disagree on this one, not really a situation where someone can say I told you so. If Sayfutdinov wins heat 8 for me that doesn't prove it worked, as others may have won that heat too lol!

My point is that Emil is favourite to win every race he is in … he probably won’t win every race but he might

If you have King or Ellis at 2 and they struggle then you are turning emils races into 3-3 or if Emil gets beat 2-4

With r/r at 2 you have 4 riders teaming up with Emil so if one is struggling it can be covered with a 3-3 and not a 1-5.

Emil in heat 8 should win where as a Brennan or Ellis might not

Emil will have 5 programmed rides and think if he gets 4 wins we will get 4 4-2’s and a 3-3 minimum (opinion) stick r/r at 4 then I don’t think we will get the same

Withholding his services so has a 28 day ban

No disrespect to Boughen but the ways he's been riding of late it prob makes Lynn stronger whoever they bring in to replace him, yeah if he gates he's fine but if he don't he just shuts off or backs out if things get tight, hope he gets his confidence back and his head straight coz the ability is there as shown when he first started riding, to bigger jump to soon haps or to much pressure, who knows, time will tell.

The sensible option is r/r is he has a 28 day ban.

Still sticking with my guns and going with a 52-38 scoreline tonight. Lynn will never get a better opportunity to get one over on Ipswich than this.

1. R Lawson - 10 (5)

2. P Kildemand - 4 (3)

3. N Klindt - 8 (4)

4. C Harris - 7 (4)

5. N K Iversen - 6 (4)

6. J Kvech - 16 (7)

7. A Boughen - 1 (3)

Total - 52

1. E Sayfutdinov - 16 (6)

2. R/R

3. A Ellis - 4 (5)

4. T Brennan - 8 (6)

5. D King - 5 (5)

6. S Lambert - 1 (3)

7. J Jenkins - 4 (5)

Total - 38

Ellis 4 from 5, Brennan 8 from 6 and King 5 from 5 are absolutely crazy shouts! They’ll all get way more than that 🤷🏻‍♂️ I can see it being a tight one, 4-6 point win for Ipswich in the end though

Can’t see Emil hitting 16 either. I think it’s time to accept that this Emil isn’t the same Emil we saw before his crash at Sheffield. He’s clearly riding within himself and not taking any risks. He’s sat behind reserves this year and shut off the throttle when he’s got to their back wheel, sitting behind gusts at Foxhall for four laps a prime example.

This will be an issue because Emil if often outgated and it’s the weakest part of his game. Lynn also have good trappers in the team so I’m not expecting him to hit the same big numbers he has the last couple of seasons.

The gloves will probably come off in September for the play offs when the Polish season ends which I suppose is all that matters.

King only 5 from a track he loves? Cant see how both Lambert and Boughen get 1, Boughen could come up with a win you never know. Cant see Kvech getting 16 when he has to ride against Emil a few  times and he wont go unbeaten against the rest of the Ipswich team, personally I think it will be close.
