Teromaafan
One or two not quite at it tonight, but Fricke & Dougy were superb to cover any shortfalls. I’ve followed Joe T since he was a club mascot. I’m not going to compare him with his brother but I’m having my doubts about his progression in the sport. Yes he’s young but I’m struggling to see how he will step up from his current level. Even when Joe gates he is a soft touch for being passed and often seems to be riding mid track. When level with riders he seems to lack the necessary aggression/bottle to keep the throttle open that fraction longer than his opponent. This is a general observation and not based on tonight by the way. I hope Joe can pick up somehow because the sport needs him.

Steve Irving
What a strange heat that was! First couple of laps Fricke didn’t seem to be making up any ground and had absolutely no chance. Then out of the blue it clicked on lap 3!
TTT
What a ride by Fricke, He's morphed into a proper out and out No.1 this season.

InTheDeepStuff
The Douglas/Howarth combination might have to swap around who wins races and who settles for second (with bonus point) as Douglas now has a roller more than Becker which will throw a spanner in the R/R route they have been going down

I think if you have both eyes open you would have thought this for the last three seasons.

Really, you have obviously not seen him in the previous two seasons. He finished last year on 9.14, with only Kurtz-9.18 and Doyle-9.36 having higher averages. That I put it to you, with the third highest avg in the league last year, he was already and out and out No 1.

Many fans don’t follow the stats and are just interested in good racing and that race was certainly top drawer and if races could produce that sort of finish more often then maybe a few more people may be tempted to take a look at Speedway. Perhaps that is a template for future meetings with the top riders starting 15 mtrs back when up against the lower order riders. It at least adds to the excitement rather than processional racing. He started slowly off 15 and had to get past his team mate before he could really make any impression. I thought he'd blown it on the back straight before the final bend. The shout that went up from the crowd was a great thing to behold too.

He’s been a true number 1 for years and it’s been great to see him grow from the 4.50 lad we signed back in the day. Irreplaceable to his team, as we found out in 2022, he is a true ace in every way.

This year he's consistently good everytime he takes to a Premiership track no matter who the opposition is.
