I really dont understand why the present promoters dont take notice of those who have come into promoting with new ideas to try to make the sport more attractive, surely they themselves would benefit financially from the sport regaining popularity? I think Richard Coleman is the last chance, from some of the things he mentioned in the article in the star some weeks ago he seems like someone who could revitalise the sport and bring in new ideas that are badly needed. If hes another that thinks hes banging his head against a brick wall and walks away i think that will be it for the sport in this country.

Yes you are not one of the posters i was referring to regarding some comments, you are very fair in your posts. I agree with you about the moaning about the Ipswich team, the cup final and reaching the play offs is pretty good from where you started from having such a late start. A lot of fans were saying the club is safe and dont expect anything this season, yet are now being critical. Next season is when the new owners influence will be seen, and i think it will be a very good side they put together. Be interesting to see what changes to the sport 2027 brings, if any.

Dont you think Chris Louis could have handled the sale of the club better? Rather than let it go on so long could he not have stayed in situ for another season till a deal had been struck and avoided this situation maybe handed over during the season. Why Witches fans are all of a sudden giving BV pelters i dont really know, wasnt BV,s fault Louis created this problem. Obviously i dont know why he handled it this way but from the outside it seemed to be a fit of pique. If Louis had handled it better Ipswich would have had the same luxury as not only Belle Vue but Sheffield, Kings Lynn, and Leicester, Northampton were in the same boat with a late start but no whingeing from them. Ipswich fans are embarrassing themselves with their sour grapes, was the title won by the lauded team of the Gollob, Louis era that totally steam rolled the league that year worthless as no other club could compete with them? There might have been more clubs in the league but none were close to that side. For gods sake we put a team together that many said would fail, Cook, Kildemand, Blodorn and the reserves seen as weak links, a long tail to accommodate the top two. They stepped up simple. Sheffield could still easily win the play offs as they can go well round the NSS and traditionally we struggle round their place. If we dont win the final a lot of posters on here are going to look really stupid.

I think King is a match for Kildemand and the reserves i would say Edwards and Tate could have a good or bad meeting Tate has been in good form though, Cairns has dropped off a little maybe the season catching up with him a bit riding in Europe? Pedersen could win that one and Norick was off it at BV against Sheffield but did pull out one good ride towards the end. As you say anything can happen on the night. I think Ipswich will get the win but would like to think we wont be further than 10 points behind. Play offs are a different ball game though as we have found out all to well when finishing top before.

I would say King v Kildemand, Musielak v Doyle, Brennan v Cook are fairly equal especially around Foxhall. And not a great difference at reserve, I think either could outscore their counterpart. I wouldnt be that dismissive of Ipswich tbh.

Why speedway has people hanging around for so long when its obvious it should be called off i dont know, the longer they waited to call it the worse conditions got, it wasnt actually unexpected in Vojens in September.

To be honest i dont really like all this choke we get today, why not just give the credit to the team that wins? Rather than a team choking they just come up against a better team on the day, did Liverpool choke in the FA cup final against Wimbledon, no they were just second best on the day, it just wasnt to be. And as you mention about us having a howler around Sheffield that has happened more times than not. Kings Lynn were a bit better than meh too holding us to six at the NSS.

I have always said its not as nailed on as people think, Sheffield can have good meetings at the NSS and usually put us to the sword at Owlerton even though no Holder is a big miss they can still do a job if they get a good guest in.Kings Lynn as we,ve seen already go well at the NSS and Leicester although they have been poor at our place are capable of much better. At this time of year conditions change affecting tracks, set ups, etc. And as we know with the play offs its about coming into form at the right time, the league meetings dont have any pressure in comparison. Yes we should win but its not a certainty.

Just highlights how weak the league is overall taking out Poole who have totally dominated since dropping down a level, i had doubts about Glasgow from the start especially the signings of Hagon and Hausi, unfortunate for Glasgow they lost Howarth he,s left a large hole that guests will struggle to fill.

I agree with you, but overall Poole have not had much opposition after dropping down, they have dominated all competitions, but whether it be Belle Vue or Poole its up to the other clubs to mount those challenges. I thought Glasgow would have challenged more tbh, again this season they dont look likely play off winners, odd really when you consider the ownership, they certainly have the means to be strong every season.

He scored 3+1 for Kings Lynn in the league at the NSS, not much better than Armadale i think the level of opposition was the main factor.

Considering the line up i was Hoping Tom Brennan would have a good meeting and bang in some good points to regain some confidence having been forced to ride at No1 for so long, so far not going well which i must say has surprised me. Hopefully he can come to the party in the later heats.

I would be surprised to see a half decent crowd in for this meeting, take Lambert out its more of a Championship riders final, and to be honest the price isnt worth whats on offer, Not like if we had Bewley, and Woffinden in the line up to give it that bit of added spice. I suppose thats British speedway today, hopefully as a lot of the riders are of a similar level after Lambert that can create some good close racing for ITV.
