Rain is biblical in South Staffs currently.  How is it nearer Perry Barr?

A mile or so from the track ....no rain but we had a rumble of thunder about 5 mins ago.... nothing else since.

Amazed it's dry at Perry Barr it's been torrential 20 mikes away.

If Zack Cook rides as well as he did last Monday I think that will edge it for Oxford.  Riss is a big loss he's good at PB.

Just hope Brummies are less pathetic than my previous visit.  At least I'll not spend the entire night squinting this time.

Doesn't matter if they have any rain or how much it'll never be as wet as that Sheffield match! 😂😂

Yep, Edwards showed why that decision was foolish tonight.  Was an Ok meeting until the interval track grading when they decided the outside line on bends 3&4 was no longer necessary.... I guess it had mostly been Spires using it to pass Brummies.

Janowski was in a different class and was reasonably backed up by all but Thomson.  Musielak only won one race, Zagar tailed off after 3 good rides, Rew & Castagna did Ok... About what Id expect from Castagna,Rew should be doing more.

Keeping hagon and releasing Edwards is another Birmingham masterclass of team building and management.

But what if the rider had a choice of Birmingham or Ipswich, who would you choose ?.

You always knew tonight was going to happen, with Edward’s having a good meeting and Hagon not scoring a point

Updates has Musielak on 2 wins. Rew scored double figures, paid 12 points, what more do you expect?

The expected result. Oxford are awful but Brummies are beyond woeful.

It was billed as the battle to avoid bottom spot.

Brummies had secured that spot before that match.

Then they shouldn't have announced it was a mutual decision.

They did exactly that, so it's fair to ridicule their team building!

Musielak heat 7 win was instantly forgettable.  He disappeared as Tungate struggled to pass Castagna despite being handed the outside line on turns 3&4.

Rew 9+2 is double figures from 5 rides.... 9 is not two digits. That's how many points he scored for the team. 3 points are absolutely assured because Jeppeson is not finishing in front of anyone at PB.

When Jason was injured we (I use that term lightly as I am a Director but have no team input) elected to replace Jason with Sam rather than name him as an injury replacement, so that Jason would come back in when fit.

FWIW not what I’d have done but that’s just my opinion

I listened to Jason Edwards on a podcast a couple of weeks ago and he was asked if when fit would be be back in the Birmingham team and he replied he hadn’t had that conversation with the management as yet.

If Birmingham had any tactical nous, they only should have made the swap on the agreement that Edwards would regain his place when fit. Just be honest with Hagon from the start "you have a temporary team spot". I'm sure Hagon wouldn't have turned that down - he had no other Premiership options.

Can't believe how inept the team planning has been!

I for the life of me can't understand why Birmingham wanted to keep Hagon. Yes he a good meeting the other week, but Joe Thompson is the only rider with a lesser average that Hagon! Both the youngster at Lynn have a higher average. If you take bonus pts into the equation. Edwards is a tad under 5pts. Hagon is 2.43. If Birmingham couldn't be bothered to contact Edwards, then whose fault is it that he's gone to Ipswich? Maybe Hagon is very cheap!!

Everything else Birmingham is inept so why should the team planning be any different 😉
