Prediction of 2025 Championship league

Poole, Edinburgh, Berwick and us. That’s the play-offs, in my opinion.

I said it after we beat Edinburgh at Ashfield in the BSN Series; if they can get Thomson scoring and once Palovaara moves into the main body of the team, they’ll be one of the strongest teams in the league.

Berwick are on the same boat, albeit slightly behind and with weaker reserves. If they can get Hagon - the British U21 champion, to emphasise my point - scoring, they’ll be a huge threat.

Poole are Poole. Lawson is remarkable.

For us, I think Dan Thompson’s fitness, Flint’s consistency and what version of Howarth we get in heats 13 and 15 will decide our fate. Nagel is a revelation; he’s our secret weapon.

An exciting end to the season in prospect.

To late for us now I think even with 2 new signings we really needed 3 points on Saturday night probably Redcar 4th team, glad to be proven wrong though.

My prediction - kiss of death for some - is top four will be Poole, Glasgow, Edinburgh and…….Redcar. Scunny build a team to win at home, disappoint away and they’ve only managed the latter this year. Worky are hit and miss, likewise Oxford, and Plymouth and Berwick will miss out again.
Then, unless they meet in the semis, the final will be Glasgow and Edinburgh with Edinburgh coming out on top.

OK, My original prediction is now looking a little suspect, but to be fair at that point the Comets were averaging 2pts per meeting, now at 1pt per meeting I have to agree things aren't looking so great.

Your prediction was very knee-jerk. We had only ridden a few times at that point. I dont think we (workington), will finish bottom but I think we'll be down there.

I can see us losing another home meeting or two and picking up nothing away from home.

Starting to look like a battle between Oxford and Redcar for the last spot. Could all come down to Wednesday's meeting between the two sides, would be a huge boost for the Cheetahs if they take all three points.

1. Glasgow
2. Poole
3. Edinburgh
4. Oxford
5. Redcar
6. Berwick
7. Plymouth
8. Workington
9. Scunthorpe

I think that's a pretty fair assessment.

Was thinking that. Worky do have the meetings in hand but would have to do an unbeaten run. So realistically just Redcar and Oxford. So if that happens we need to finish 2nd rather than first. I'm assuming it's still 1st vs 4th and 2nd vs 3rd?

Just getting that out there now in case Poole don't finish top. 😂

"We didn't want to finish top anyway!" 😂

I think that’s a pretty fair reflection on things,I feel Oxford are under rated got easily the strongest reserves in the league but also a decent no1 and riders who can all score well in the top 5 they will defo be a threat,if Glasgow can get Hodder scoring points then there the biggest threat to my team Poole imo,Nagel looks a class act at this level very good signing from Glasgow.

Tbh i don't like finishing top when there is playoffs. Feels like you have to win it no matter what just to justify it. Least if you finish 2nd -4th you can only gain out of the playoffs, nothing to lose!

Also have to think about who you want in the SFs.

Barring injuries, Glasgow, with the addition of Nagel & their reserves  no longer points fodder for their opponents, should win all three competitions by the end of the Season.
