I said it after we beat Edinburgh at Ashfield in the BSN Series; if they can get Thomson scoring and once Palovaara moves into the main body of the team, they’ll be one of the strongest teams in the league. Berwick are on the same boat, albeit slightly behind and with weaker reserves. If they can get Hagon - the British U21 champion, to emphasise my point - scoring, they’ll be a huge threat. Poole are Poole. Lawson is remarkable. For us, I think Dan Thompson’s fitness, Flint’s consistency and what version of Howarth we get in heats 13 and 15 will decide our fate. Nagel is a revelation; he’s our secret weapon. An exciting end to the season in prospect. To late for us now I think even with 2 new signings we really needed 3 points on Saturday night probably Redcar 4th team, glad to be proven wrong though.
Bitza
OK, My original prediction is now looking a little suspect, but to be fair at that point the Comets were averaging 2pts per meeting, now at 1pt per meeting I have to agree things aren't looking so great. Wee Eck
My prediction - kiss of death for some - is top four will be Poole, Glasgow, Edinburgh and…….Redcar. Scunny build a team to win at home, disappoint away and they’ve only managed the latter this year. Worky are hit and miss, likewise Oxford, and Plymouth and Berwick will miss out again. Then, unless they meet in the semis, the final will be Glasgow and Edinburgh with Edinburgh coming out on top.

Your prediction was very knee-jerk. We had only ridden a few times at that point. I dont think we (workington), will finish bottom but I think we'll be down there. I can see us losing another home meeting or two and picking up nothing away from home.
Bojangles
Starting to look like a battle between Oxford and Redcar for the last spot. Could all come down to Wednesday's meeting between the two sides, would be a huge boost for the Cheetahs if they take all three points. 1. Glasgow 2. Poole 3. Edinburgh 4. Oxford 5. Redcar 6. Berwick 7. Plymouth 8. Workington 9. Scunthorpe
Bandit59
Glasgow to win it and Scunthorpe to bin it just below Berwick

So if that happens we need to finish 2nd rather than first. I'm assuming it's still 1st vs 4th and 2nd vs 3rd?

Feels like you have to win it no matter what just to justify it. Least if you finish 2nd -4th you can only gain out of the playoffs, nothing to lose! Also have to think about who you want in the SFs.
cyclone
Barring injuries, Glasgow, with the addition of Nagel & their reserves no longer points fodder for their opponents, should win all three competitions by the end of the Season.
szkocjasid
Redcar now look favourites for 4th (or 3rd) ahead of Oxford. But could change again. However Redcar look to have the easier run in. Edited Wednesday at 10:53 PM by szkocjasid

My prediction would Redcar 3rd with Edinburgh & Oxford fighting for fourth which could be decided by their home & away matches with Workington. Yes I think it will be between Edinburgh and oxford for the last playoff spot. Thought workington would get it but not now.

They will have to beat Glasgow away, otherwise 18 points (what Edinburgh already have) is the maximum they can get.

I rated Berwick's chances higher, especially since their changes & a great result at Glasgow, all undone by dropping points at home in the return leg. All the teams bar Scunthorpe & Plymouth can still make the play-offs, but I feel a gap has appeared below the "top 4" & challengers. Correct me if I'm wrong here, but if Plymouth won both matches against Redcar over the weekend, they can still make the playoffs?

The Plymouth promoter was saying on Saturday that Plymouth will need to win home and away to redcar and Berwick , then wait to see what worky ends up with .
