Good god no. An injury to a rider and you have the same pair of riders out in every other heat.

One league will also have a huge diversity in the standard of riders.

And playoffs keep seasons alive for more teams.

Not Berwicks 😉only iffy rainoffs prolong Berwicks

Promoters can’t really win these days unless it’s guaranteed dry.Riders dictate and just want to put the bike in the van at the slightest raindrop.

A lot of said riders will be stacking shelves at Tescos soon if they are not to carful !!

Yes keep the play offs,The top of the league at the end of the season should be called something like the league winners and the play offs can be called the play off winners or something along those lines.

Didnt it used to be that be way?

They had it at one time, then they had play-off for Jack Young Shield or something else.(if I remember right) Berwick were in Final(I think)Craig Cook guested at Shielfield won his 1st race then pulled out of meeting. Think the opposition were Rye House ,who won overall.(it’s all a bit hazy but I sure someone will know better)

Riders won`t stand for only one league.

unfortunately they may just have to put up with it, i would say thats one of the reasons the sport in this country is the state its in, bowing down to the riders for too long.
