Last match of  a very poor season for the Scorpions. Which way will it go, will Scorpions find some winning ways, or will the Bears take it? Heart says Scorpions win, head says Bears win. Probably more media interest on round 2 of Allen v Wright with air fence on bend one/ two taking first hit.😁

So Redcar have booked Vuolas who will more then likely help Redcar get the point ( I know they'll likely win at home next week Vs Workington anyway but) they need to secure the playoffs ahead of the team he's employed by? Only in Speedway 🤣

I suppose that depends on what the owner wants. As with many seasons, the team was built to lose away but win at home but the loss of an out and out number one meant only 3 home wins and the inevitable drop in crowd numbers - a winning team won’t necessarily bring in more supporters but a losing one certainly keeps them away. 
There is one rider that has excelled this year but you can bet his phone has been red hot with calls from rival promoters. Not offering him a 2026 team place, of course, as that will breach the rules but saying “if you’re thinking of making a change, you’ve got my number”

But the other six need to be moved on as none have been comfortable round EWR. Maybe it’s the change to one of those hard polyfoam barriers - second hand from Glasgow -  that has put them off?

Whatever the reasons for a disappointing season, the supporters deserve better, in my opinion. And hopefully, that’s what will happen in 2026

The previous season when we had a proper no 1 and doing fairly well playoffs winning the cup I would hazard a guess that rob only broke even…I doubt if he got better riders that the crowds would flock to the ewr for him to be able to be to afford the quality riders that the diehard fans crave..he does well to keep us running tbf

Apart from the trailer sign plonked on the roundabout on race nights what other promotional activities are happening at Scunthorpe? Genuine question.
