Injuries have always been part of speedway and unless we move to a squad system (obviously unsustainable financially) then guests and r/r will always be there. What should be addressed is promotions building teams with riders that routinely aren’t available due to commitments elsewhere. Nagel being absent has certainly hurt his team, if he was riding last night they would have gone through on aggregate no problem.

Just a case of attending for what it is and forgetting the circus of never having a full team. Exactly, injuries are part of the sport but riders being signed knowing the will miss a load of fixtures and getting decent guests(in some cases) is making a mockery of the sport, which is already in serious decline in GB.

Mr Blobby
R/R it is, probably the best option with Allen no longer being available.

Lots of pressure on Kye and Justin. We also need the reserves to not be running last places. It’s gonna be a tight one!

Genuine shambles. How can you take this sport seriously with nonsense like that? By the laws of the sport, shouldn’t he be suspended for 28 days? I’ve no idea, but saw someone else suggest it.

Gr8scot
Can I ask you Glasgow folks if we might have any problems from the Road works on Friday please. I believe they are at the other side of Glasgow but are there tailbacks?

No problem with road works, they are away out at Govan way tails backs don’t reach J 15 .M8 at Bathgate Road narrows for bridge works but no real hold up .

If you watched it you could see he was limping on parade and also had a big crash in his last heat where the rider in front chain came off and Villads ploughed into him was down for a while but he did go out for his rerun just hope he makes Friday Edited 17 hours ago by mac101

cyclone
Perhaps the SCB will examine Nagel's absence on Tuesday & his reappearance in Denmark on Wednesday, to satisfy themselves that the circumstances are different from Francis Gusts being unavailable for the Oxford fixture at Poole on Wednesday 13th August. See link below SCB STATEMENT: FRANCIS GUSTS Checked various pages see no mention of you discussing Lawson missing Tuesday but riding on Wedneday at Poole [not a Glasgow rider]. When we signed Nagel mid season we had no idea his Polish team would have postponments also his Danish and Polish teams would reach Finals and he would be sucessfull in International events.Iam sure if we sign him next year these dates will be known to us just my take on this finally and he did hve a crash

See link below SCB STATEMENT: FRANCIS GUSTS The circumstances are different. Gusts, on the Monday, told Oxford he couldn't ride on the Wednesday. He then rode on the Tuesday but missed Wednesday, as promised. Silly boy Francis. Nagel missed a meeting on the Tuesday, then rode on the Wednesday. If he rides on Friday, I can't see a problem. If he misses Friday, then we can discuss potential bans. But not beforehand.
