That's true but what's to suggest that it won't be the opposite next year where he might start out well and then regresses? If he could attain what he achieved at the tail-end of last season i would agree with you about him being worthy of a place next year.

A gamble no doubt but a gamble at 5.93 feels one worth taking. On his day he’s a Championship heat leader.

You could say that about any rider tbh. Personally I'd have Kye in the team.

I'm not sure why Kye would be considered a gamble tbh?

If he had been at reserve all year, but would be in the top 5 next year (like Jacob Hook) I'd understand it being a gamble.

Based on the last third of the season, I'd rather him a very positive signing, even if he can't keep that form up, don't see his average dropping.
