So I repeat my question.

If Leicester were to change their mind and decide that Douglas isn't strong enough to be a No.1, who can challenge Fricke, Bewley, Kurtz and Holder,  then who could they sign?

I can only think of Zmarzlik as an option, and that's clearly a no-no.

It's obvious the Leicester top 5 is Douglas, Masters, Morris, Thompson and Howarth.

Becker not doing UK in 2026 ?

Personally I'd drop Morris for Barker & hopefully have a bit more flexibility to have a stronger no.6

Dean Barker?

Cos if it's Ben that would give an even weaker number six than Kemp.

Kemp wouldn't be too bad if he stopped the packing up at the back thing. What other experienced reserves are around that are guaranteed to be better? I think the RS position is what's really been the killer for us.

With Douglas being, according to some, a nailed-on certainty to be Lions' no.1, they're dragging their feet somewhat in making the announcement!

KL, Sheffield, and Belle Vue (probably) have all named their no.1's, so what's holding up Leicester from doing likewise?

Bit of a low-key announcement, considering it's for the new number one rider!

Meh

Have they chosen the team yet or still finalising it ? Can't understand what all this waiting around for signing announcements is meant to achieve.  Just release the full team now if its already been decided.

Must be giving the big bombshell Douglas announcement a chance to reverberate before making any further announcements.

I'm not a fan of hype, but it had all the impact of a pint of lukewarm, flat and poorly-kept beer, from both him and the club🤔

Absolutely ,unless they're about to sign the World U21 World Champion, Bartosz Zmarzlik or the best young British Speedway prospect then you'd milk it.

I suppose it gets some people get excited though 😕 .
