Youhave2minutes
Would love to see the promotion stop keeping with their original riders and go for a total new look. Come on Mr Godfrey stop relying on the old faithfuls and grab the bull by the horns and have a complete muck out. Whats your opinions ? Whats your opinion Be great for all teams to be equal but it's probably down to money. Sorry to be ignorant but know little about sunny but do you think they could attract big name riders don't wish to sound whatever but Lawson well hope not ,Nicholls, our new boy Cairns etc or are your promoters just happy to run every year and support speedway. While Scunthorpe have had a couple of poor seasons, before that they were play-off qualifiers. So it's not like they've always been near the bottom. Scunthorpe did have a big name rider, Ryan Douglas, but when he went up to the Prem found it hard to find a top replacement. Similar to Edinburgh when Pickering stepped up. Poole didn't replace Ben Cook or Tom Brennan with similar standard of riders, maybe because there's not many top heat leaders to go round, luckily for them I don't see Richard Lawson moving up full time. Scunthorpe also had their own, even more successful Cairns in Luke Harrison, unfortunately sounds like he's going to be moving on.

Scunthorpe did try some "new" things last season, Declan Kennedy new to British Speedway, Zaine Kennedy & Steve Worrall returning after a long time away, Luke Harrison was only on his 2nd season. So 3 regular returnees isn't a great many. Ironically one of the riders dropped, which many fans were happy to see, MPT - rode really well as an away rider for Edinburgh. On a lower average he'd be a target to improve home form. I wouldn't bring back Simon Lambert, you could tell he was trying, but didn't have the speed anymore. Time to move on. I get the impression Rob Godfrey likes to stick with the old faithfuls and if it brings the results it does and if it don’t it don’t. Its a club which I can see never moving in to the top flight, and if it’s one league next year May even struggle to attract a big name.
scunny1
We needed a good number one and number 5 , but neither position impressed this year and come heats 13 and 15 we were consistently poor. Got to change that as next years priority.

Looks like it , as Dan T wanted to come back to Glasgow but didn't fit as his average is 8.75, looks like bomber is staying.Fans would have loved both back
