The rules state

In the event of 3 teams or more on equal points the teams will have considered to have a bonus point if finishing in 1st and 2nd or 2nd and 3rd. The teams scoring the most bonus points will finish higher. If that is a tie 1st, 2nd 3rds will determine.

Germany  had 5

GB had 3

Australia 2

What a joke of a system. WE beat the Germans 7-2 in the heats yet finish behind them. FIM have cocked up the sgp scoring system now this joke of a system. No wonder no one wants to televise the event.

Not as much of a joke as Dan Bewley going unbeaten with 18pts at the German GP. A guy scoring 8 scraps into the silly last chance saloon and ends up with 20 points, 2 more than Dan. Now that is a joke of a system.

You do wonder what planet those who oversee these fixtures are on. The genuine speedway follower can only look on in dismay as those in charge seem to have no idea and how to maintain support let alone attract new punters. People decry WWE and the fixed results but those in charge of speedway are not far short of making a mockery of a sport that does not need these jerks running it. WWE almost looks legitimate by comparison.

What is also unforgivable was the total wall of silence regarding any TV coverage despite their socials being flooded by fans asking where it could be watched.

The contempt shown towards every speedway follower sums up why the sport is in decline. It does not deserve to be taken seriously and the pig headed ignorance of those who happily take your entrance fee but give little or no guarantee that you will get what you pay for is contemptible and those who are in charge work on the basis of caveat imptor which sums up everything that is wrong with what at best is a form of entertainment but actually falls short of being entertaining. Many people who use to be avid supporters/followers were major contributors to this forum but just look at the limited number of responses to any given match on each meeting compared to a few years back and that in itself is a measure of how far it has become a joke. Anyone with money invested in UK speedway needs to get out asap. It is not an investable proposition and in its current state has no chance of attracting the exposure it needs to grow. Is Rachel Reeves in charge.?
