Without a doubt the scummiest thing I’ve ever witnessed in 30+ years of watching speedway from Mitchell Cluff.

Beyond inappropriate, entirely tone deaf and outright nasty to a remarkable degree.

Sick to my stomach watching that crash. Seeing Pedersen sit up is bigger than any win.

What happened?

Glasgow missing Howarth badly. That is a pathetic performance from the guest.

Pedersen clipped Hagon’s rear wheel and went head first into the fence coming out the second bend in an almost identical incident to the one that ended Darcy Ward’s career.

I honestly thought “he’s done”. The way he hit that fence and the pace, the way he lay motionless, it looked horrific. An older lady next to us was a bit upset.

Cluff was last, so this happened right in front of him and if he didn’t see it then, he certainly did when - for some bizarre reason - he did a lap of honour and passed Pedersen as he lay motionless on the ground. He then stopped his bike on the fourth bend and proceeded to gesture towards the Monarchs fans while the rest of the stadium remained silence. The place erupted in boos.

A morally corrupt short, buck-toothed imbecile without an ounce of decency.

Well deserved win for the Monarchs. Thompson and Thomson were incredible, but that left a horrible feeling I’ve never associated with speedway.

Incredible to see Pedersen up.

The good: choosing to take the gates in heat 15, Tate looked properly on it, Cluff was decent, Mario superb even with the fall in his first ride.

The bad: got pumped, Drew Kemp (just fire whoever booked him, he was always going to be useless), choosing gates 2&4 in heat 15 when 12 of 14 heats were won from 1&3, putting Bomber from gate 4 where there were 0 wins all night.

The ugly: Cluff celebrating whilst a rider was lying motionless on the track. Really, really poor, especially as he’d ridden past Kevin twice, so he can’t blame it on ignorance.
