  1. You may call it an agenda, I will call it my opinion. His decisions over the years have been beyond baffling. He has no awareness of how the team should line up against certain teams. Harris at number 3 is insanity IMO. Last night is a perfect example, you either put Harris at 5 to try and negate Kye Thomson and give us a very strong end too the meeting or put a sacrificial lamb (Hausl) in there, let KT run amok and deal with the rest of the team. It’s not a slant on Leon as he has been magnificent this year. Giving up a 5-1 in 13 is scandalous.
  2. Scudded by a guest and calamity Brown again. Difficult enough riding against a decent team but when your number 1 gets outscored by a reserve and the team manager is absolutely clueless it impossible
  3. Don’t want to see Kilndt anywhere near a Tigers race suit again.
  4. Don’t want to see Kilndt anywhere near a Tigers race suit again.
  5. Don’t be nasty to dwarfs. Cluff mis-read(if he can) the room/stadium.
  6. Not a classic meeting. Armadale still has people beat before they arrive unfortunately. Edinburgh will never change it for that reason alone. Another factor is that the majority of the fans would rather see a skelping than a close entertaining meeting. Attendance relates directly with success. we’ll see this tonight at Ashfield, big crowd will be through as they will smell blood.
  7. Surely there is a case for each rider to get a couple of laps to try the track before the meeting starts? This would prevent things like this happening. Riders out individually or teams get a 5-10 session beforehand. The reason matches generally get better are that riders figure the track out. Surely it would be better for the sport if they were prepared at heat one. I know people will say, riders should know etc etc but if track prep is unpredictable why risk it. Give the riders a chance to entertain the fans
  8. Really liked the 18 formula used in 93(?). Two reserve races helped bringing them on. Would probably be too expensive to run now, and we wouldn’t have enough riders. we really need to get the training track used to develop young local talent. On a related note, the training track looked immaculate last night.
  9. Track was like a typical Glasgow lady, very wet and a little rough. Track was there to be attacked. A half hour delay and the meeting would of been complete
  10. Take a bow Freddy Hodder. I don’t think anyone seen that coming. Phenomenal performance
  11. The odds for a Tigers/Croatia double must be sky high. Tigers lucky to hit 30.
  12. The Scotland game being on at 02:00 on Sunday may have a part to play in it too. It’s a shame the bus isn’t going. Still expect fairly healthy crowd of Tigers there on Saturday. Hopefully a better performance than last time.
  13. 2 things to save the season. Tell Meredith not to enter a G postcode. Keep Brown away from anything to do with the team.
  14. Was an interesting match. KT has started the season very well. Rushen’s move was horrible, do that to the wrong person and he will get hurt either on or off track. Lidsey looked like he wanted to be anywhere but there. Batch and Klindt are passengers that wake up every now and again. Half decent performance from any of the aforementioned 3 and Foxes win.
  15. It is equally ridiculous. Fitting in the low numbers of meetings in a 6/7 month period shouldn’t be difficult.
  16. As much as I like to see Edinburgh struggle, it benefits no one forcing a team to go into a meeting under strength. it will always come to the best interests of the sport. We had to deal with Dan, Leon and Villads missing meetings last year. I would have been fuming if we couldn’t use a facility to replace them.
  17. Why do we accept these off times to race against Edinburgh? Track will be different and probably suit them. It is like the ridiculous way we accept the Plymouth matches after riding up in Scotland.
  18. What rules did he break? he broke a gentleman’s agreement. It’s not cricket but also not illegal. From a Glasgow (and general speedway) perspective, I’d rather he wasn’t involved in any Edinburgh matches. Imagine rocking up to Ashfield today explaining to someone that one of our riders helped our rivals last night. I know it has happened many times but the rider is wide open to abuse (dammed if he scores well, accused of not trying if he doesn’t). if I was in his position and had a choice to ride at Workington rather than Berwick I know what I would choose.
  19. A trick is missed every year. The first two weekends of the season should be a 4TT with Glasgow, Edinburgh, Berwick and Workington. Get big crowds in and some semi competitive racing before the real business starts. East Coast one weekend, Edinburgh Friday & Berwick Saturday then Glasgow and Worky the other.
  20. Bored at work, so I'll bite. 😂 We (Glasgow fans) always expect you to put a team together. Our blend of experience and youth next year should be a good match again to your rumoured team. Roll on the new season.
  21. Hopefully the Tigers can keep it tight tonight and they don’t get distracted by the southern softies gamesmanship. Brown’s moaning after the last meeting is still embarrassing for any Glaswegian. Should have been dealt with in a more traditional manner. Newton’s third law. A lot will depend on Harris, Nagel and Dan tonight. Someone mentioned Lawson and Tobi “sorting Nagel out” in heat one, that could be interesting. Nagel is not scared to mix it, his heat 15 against Charles Wright proved that. He may be tentative on a new track though. CT being the ref could be an interesting. Despite some Poole fans saying that Glasgow are favourites for the match (incredibly sh1te patter) we all know it’s Poole’s to lose. They are on a hot streak and have the mentality that is required. Hopefully Glasgow can find that resilience and fight the good fight.we have done it before. Any truth in the rumour that there will be drug and fuel testing tonight?
