Hagon will get another club. Hausl hopefully not back. I doubt KJP would fit with that top 4. Even if we could magic up 2 x 2.00 pointers that would improve that average (tbh there isn't anyone in the NDL/NDT that looks like they are ready to do that) that top 5 is too high. If Hodder and Perry were the reserves then I think you are still looking at 4 or less for that 5th in the averages rider. So you would be looking at Hagon/ Hausl (doubt either will be back) or a 4 point Aussie, or Foord/Grmek. I've seen a few comments that Foord's bikes aren't up to standard. If you could get a sponsor for new bikes then he could up his average? (If the bikes are the issue)

Nickinho
I didn't like the way the team was built for 2026 and perhaps the strategy of trying to get 3 heat leaders squeezed into the team should change and the Tigers should go down the Scunthorpe route and entice Josh Pickering to Glasgow and fill the rest of the team with Tate Zisckshe's and KJP's and someone like Andersen the GP2 winner on a five point average and then back them up with stronger reserves like Eddie Kennett. Remind me again what the Glasgow Tigers won in 2026. Couldn't even edge out the Monarchs in the BSN Series. But yeah sure bring Flint and Hodder back if winning is no longer important to Tigers fans. Aries
A Premiership club would struggle to get Mikkel Andersen over! Glasgow or anyone else in the Championship, zero chance.

The same Eddie Kennett that's spent his entire career trying to avoid riding at Glasgow? Maybe he could ride Shergar with Lord Lucan as his mechanic. Scunthorpe made the playoffs this year of the back of their low average riders scoring week at home, and Pickering staying healthy all year. Even with a shocker away from home on the first leg of the playoffs, if the 2 'photo' finishes had went Glasgow's way at Ashfield (Tigers lost them both by 0.02 seconds) it would have went to a super heat. So we weren't a far away from a final, even if we were unconvincing for a lot of the season. I genuinely think that there is more change of us going 4 strong and 3 weaker riders next year rather than 1 outstanding and 6 middle scoring riders. As great as getting a world class talent like Andersen would be, I can't see that happening. If he wanted to come to Britain, I think he'd look at Nagel's scoring and go Premiership. If you continue to do what you've always done you'll continue to get what you always got - nothing! We really need a different approach and stronger reserves for once. Particularly as Poole may be going down this route. They're widely expected to have Cairns, Rushen, Lightfoot and Harrison who come to around 22 points. Lawson for 8 takes them to 30 leaving them plenty of scope for the two reserves

That lineup looks to leave them a little bit weak at the top end, unless one or both of Rushen or Cairns takes a big leap forward next year to become a top heat leader home and away. Not saying it can't happen, just that it's not guaranteed especially if there is pressure on them to make that leap.
TheWellBehavedWorrall
What’s the script for team building, like who actually puts the team together; the manager or the owners? I’d be interested in knowing how riders are approached too, given there are no agents. Do clubs have dedicated “recruiters” who approach riders? First thing I’d be doing for 2027 is finding a new DJ.

No-one with half a brain would argue playing Wham’s Club Tropicana before heat thirteen would aid us in any way. The fact is, speedway isn’t just four riders going around a track; like all sports, presentation is part of the event. Music, announcements, crowd interactions, introductions, etc. all contribute to atmosphere.

You quoted me, sharing your indifferences. I think the experience could be improved and the overwhelming majority see live sport as an event; not just the result. It’s why music plays such a key role in the biggest of those; the Champions League theme song, the F1 national anthems, the Super Bowl half-time show, walk-out music in boxing or football or even fitting music when trophies are lifted. Sports News Why would you not want Leon Flint back? He's been Glasgow's best rider this year. Entertainment is more important than winning because if you're being honest we're probably competing for second behind Poole. Only one defeat at home in the Scottish Cup isn't a bad season. We did finish second in the league. Edited 2 hours ago by gmarsbar2 grammar

But could all flip on its head if they end up with Beau Bailey or Brady Landon at reserve , if on the outside chance they got both of them they will be the team to beat yet again. Bailey is the more exciting rider of the two but Landon would probably go better at Poole as he's a trapper like his mentor Hancock.
