I only know the ages of some of the riders in the 1991 meeting... Lamb was 24, Little 18, McLusky 26, McKinna 30, Grieves 16, Coleman 21, McDonald 16 The 1986 riders were all juniors, although Rizzo made a few appearances for Berwick & Edinburgh in the 80s but with limited success - as far as I know all five were Scottish.
-
Not quite... Michael Lowrie won the Scottish Under-21 title on 13 September at Powderhall (Edinburgh) which was part of the Scottish Individual Riders Championship, won by Scott Lamb, with James Grieves winning the Under-18 title. The Junior Championship was held at Shawfield on 13 Oct 1991 (points scored carried into the final - I don't have the race times) Heat 1: Grieves, Fraser Smith, Paul Taylor, Raymond Fosbury Heat 2: Stuart Coleman, Wayne Park, Stuart Crome (retired), Stewart McDonald (fell excluded) Heat 3: Coleman, Grieves, Fosbury, Crome Heat 4: Smith, Park, Taylor (only 3 riders) Final: Grieves, Coleman, Smith, Park (fell remounted) As Grieves & Coleman both scored 8 points, a race-off was needed, which Grieves won.

No result / time announced as the referee didn't declare it, despite the SGB website showing 3a3 - the fact the starting marshals made a cod of the flags and three riders completed, I won't say raced, five laps, is neither here nor there... Thompson's time was 60.96s -

Glasgow's supporters group made no such payment. -
Class act but he didn't score a maximum for us at Workington. He dropped a point but made up for it by scoring a paid max the day after when the Monarchs were cuffed 58-32 at Ashfield

Excellent Steve, much obliged

Hi, Does anyone have the heat details (including the Silver Helmet races) between the Wildcats and the Tigers on April 28th 1981? Thanks...
-
I hope someone out there has details of this National League meeting, as far as I'm aware the last time a Plymouth team visited Glasgow before this season...
-
Much obliged

Norman Storer didn't ride for the Lions in this KO Cup meeting and was replaced by T Swales, was it Tony or Tim? Looking forward to the Lions renewing their rivalry with the Tigers at Ashfield this year...
