Thought the 16 lap final was good but the heats didn't provide the expected better racing from a premier league field - in fact maybe worse. The best aspect of the evening was the presentation and showed why Kevin Long makes an excellent mike man.

Totally agree especially your point on the presentation. The duo of Bryan Knights and particularly Steven Foster have been an absolute disaster and has contributed to the falling gates imo. Some may say thats a daft thing to say as people go for the racing but the supporters still want an enjoyable all round experience. How good was it last night to have the excellent Kevin Long back on the mic? He's brilliant and must be brought back full time next season.

Why did he leave in the first place? I have been to a few meetings this year and have to agree. The presentation has been awful. Bit of a bonus not having the excrutiating Bryan Knights there either.

Work commitments meant he could no longer do the job but that changed and this season he was ready willing and able to do the job again and offered his services, but was overlooked by the promotion. Mistake.

Well done to Ben Barker for winning this. Michael was really happy to go to first meeting since his surgery and for one of his favourite riders to win it. Ben has named the bike mikey after him and he was pleased he won it on mikey.

I have to agree with the echos of those on the presentations, Kevin Long is in a different league and far, far better. Bringing Kevin back for presenting in 2011 would be a positive first signing for the Witches.
