Very solid team performance tonight from the Comets with Rene the stand out ably followed by Josh!!

Positive signs from the rest of the guys, with a mention in dispatches for Schrammy, of better thing's to come, Millsy starting to look the rider better machinery always promised, really pleased for him, Kyle still rubbish at starting but at least looked more comfortable tonight and Mason certainly improved on the drier track!! :t:

Racing not brilliant but enough promise there to show we will be particularly difficult to shift at DP this year and, hopefully, quite a few away as well?? ;)

As for Glasgow, I don't think they will be anywhere near as bad this time around once they get together, some very useful young riders in their side who did show more than a modicum of talent for the future, Thomsen very good the more the meeting went on and I thought young Berge showed a bit of promise despite not worrying the judge, who knows what confidence he would have got from a race win tonight, had he not fallen off while in front, and a good effort from Lykke Nielsen!!

Think the experienced riders let Glasgow down a little tonight, certainly expected more from them round here than we got but hey, bit more track time and they will be more awkward to beat but a few positives definitely to take from tonight, some good lads there!! :t:

Well not a lot to be said on the scoreline other than we will not be the only team to be beaten by a margin by a very good Workington team they really did look very good tonight however all is not doom & gloom from our perspective whilst on paper it looks a bit of a drubbing the reality is that every single rider was well on the pace tonight and all had there moments.

Workington were much sharper away from the starts and deserved there win but there is a lot to look forward too from this team one thing for certain we shall not finish bottom which after last season is an improvement well done to Workington who are justified as one off the pre-season favourites.

It would be great if Rene really fulfilled the potential we first saw at Newcastle. I rated him a better prospect than Larsen at that time but the broken leg really knocked his confidence. A fit and confident Bach is a 10 point PL man, no question.

Quite agree. Rene was the fastest overtaker at Brough ever. Missing the gate often, he would pass around the outside just about every meeting. Great crowd pleaser till that night.

You could be describing James Wight there Tsunami in his first time at Workington. Would be good to see him back at his best too.

Got to agree there, James was quite sensational around the boards at derwent park don't think rene has hit those heights just yet

It would be great if Glasgow won 5-1 every race. :t::drink:

A great team performance from the Comets boys last night and without Ricky and Ash too. :t: . I thought Glasgow would have give us a run for our money but they have 2 reserves there who showed alot of promise , once they have a few meetings under their belt they will only get better and Mark Lemon looked alot better than last season . Great team riding from Rene and Josh they are some pairing

Come on the Comets :approve:
