Wildcard: Antonio Lindback

Reserves: Fredrik Lindgren and Kim Nilsson

Stupid, should have been someone like Thorssell or Palovaara instead.

AGREE ... very strange choice for reserve. Lindback a non-brainer for wild card.

Isn't is a good thing that a reserve can come in with a genuine chance of winning a race for once?

There is also the Allsvenskan final in Avesta on Thursday evening in case someone is here by then.

That is right. Nice to see young lads get a chance but we want proper racing not a lad riding a lawn mower who is tailed off as in Slovenia.

I wouldn't be shocked if he left it so he needed a point or two in Australia on purpose. Win it at "home" and the point or two means even if he somehow gets injured he only needs Greg to drop a point or two anyway.

PRACTICE went well, riders seemed pretty happy with track conditions although, as ever, they will be a little different on race-day. Wet morning here, so the closed roof comes into play. Good turn out of Swedish media at press conference yesterday but doubt whether that will have such influence on attendance with even AJ admitting this has been a lost year in the SGP.

Positive words from Lindback, of course, but would be surprised to see a crowd to match that of two years ago.

Shame because it is a lovely stadium and a lovely city (not in the rain!) albeit horribly expensive.
