apparently they were good on slick tracks but couldn't cope with any inconsistency as I recall.

I think he bought 6 engines off AshTec and had to offload them, and buy 6 new ones. Currently £50k in debt through it.

If they were that bad surely AshTec should take a hit on some of that cost? I certainly wouldn't pay him or anyone else for poor workmanship

BOUGHT a couple of second hand Peter Johns Racing tuned engines ...

Could he not have got PJR to breathe some more life into the 6 he had bought?

AJ is off them as well although he changes tuners as frequently as most people do their underwear :party:

He had a brand new Ashtec for Lakeside's last two home meetings. He seems to have gone full circle now.

Probably sealed and in contract not allowed to break seal to see what is inside!

DON'T think that is the case. Cook contacted Peter Johns who said he knew of a couple of his 2015 tuned engines that were readily available and he plumped for them. Doubt whether Peter is interested in trying to change engines previously tuned by others.

 

Not sure about Emil. He hasn't always solely used Ashtec engines. Peter Johns seems very adapt at providing riders with exactly what they want ... always providing they know what that is!

Would have thought then that Ash would have bought them back from cookie so the loss to cookie wouldn't have been the full original cost.
