Mattfordfan 286 Posted August 30, 2017 Been raining for about 3 hours but it's light stuff to water the track. Should clear in the next couple and doubt the meeting will be at risk. Meeting will go ahead even if the track is wet imo. We need to get the meeting on because of the cut off. Will probably turn out to be a 10 heat fiasco tbh. Gavan 5,050 Posted August 30, 2017 Of course they will. I doubt Swindon will get close to a point at Rye House and will be the reason why they will choose Belle Vue in the semis. Rye are favourites for 4th as they should win their remaining meetings and Poole have a tough ask at Somerset without Holder. It beggers belief that he is missing such an important fixture just to travel out to Poland. Surely he could have made arrangements for his gear to go and he to fly out with Brady. Not sure missing this meeting will go down very well with Matt when it comes to team planning for 2018 to be honest. Please in gods name why on earth do you think Swindon wont get close to a point at Rye House??? Swindon have won 15 matches on the trot They won at Rye by 8 points earlier in the season They went back to Rye 25 days ago and won easily by 16 points. Rye had no KK and Swindon no Doyle. How do you think with those 2 changes Rye will turn around a 16 point loss???? How do you think Rye will stop Swindon getting a point?? They will need to turn round 24 points from the last meeting!!! Do you not think thats a big ask???? Oh no wait you are playing down Pooles chances yet again, so that if you do get 4th (which you quite clearly should) you can then bleat about it how it was against all odds! And you believe that Rye House are favorites to win at Belle Vue??? Your posts almost get as funny as Starmans
Pirate Nick 1,801 Posted August 30, 2017 Chris has got to get a visa yet!!!! Not sure a visa can be issued when a rider is banned or hasn't got a job!!!!!?? I don't think any club can sign a banned rider?! As I understand it if Holder can get fixed up with a club for next season his visa will be fine.

Swindon are facing patched up teams and that's why they are on this run. A full Rye 1-7 will beat Swindon at home by 10 points at least.
dump that clutch 630 Posted August 30, 2017 This means Rye will need to get something at home to Swindon who have won 15 on the trot so that isnt likely Poole favorites for 4th quite clearly.....................then again they were hot favorites for the league in March Please in gods name why on earth do you think Swindon wont get close to a point at Rye House??? Steve Shovlar 10,439 Posted August 30, 2017 Rain has now cleared away and its now dry outside. Less rain than expected. All systems go for three points.
foreverblue 6,093 Posted August 30, 2017 Should be an easy 3 points but will be watching with an eye on the Belle Vue meeting which we hope will be a home win and no points for Rye.

Mattfordfan 286 Posted August 30, 2017 They will miss Shanes even more on the Somerset track. We wont. James wouldn't have done anything anyway. Somerset are very strong at reserve.
foreverblue 6,093 Posted August 30, 2017 it won't matter anyway if you make the top four you won't go any further True. Good to hear that Chris Holder will be in the Poole pits this evening for what could well be our final home league meeting of the season . Oh to be a fly on the wall!! I bet there could be some interesting conversations. It would be funny if he turned up at Kings Lynn tomorrow!
g13webb 4,254 Posted August 30, 2017 True. It would be funny if he turned up at Kings Lynn tomorrow! And apologise to the all the fans who paid good money to see him ride, instead of doing a runner... Yeah Real funny....

I believe that Poole had only one rider missing when they came to the Abbey. Some patching up. Edited August 30, 2017 by DunRobin
