stevebrum 6,821 Posted October 9, 2019 Looks like it’s finally going to happen tonight. I just hope the boys are ready. Personally I think we need a 10 point lead.
EnglishRoundabout 1,752 Posted October 9, 2019 Just looked at the weather under Met Office Forecast. Does look like a chance of a shower or two. Any damp weather does worry me regarding Batchelor, but if Swindon can keep Wolves from leading by more than 10, I reckon that could be ok. Certainly would set up a fantastic finale. Hopefully Auntie Doris’s “ Tangerine dream” will come true!
magnificentseven 236 Posted October 9, 2019 Hope the Wolves are sharp and up for this after a while without meetings for some of them. Think we need to win by at least 52-38 to have a decent chance at Swindon.
ArthurRudge 347 Posted October 9, 2019 Any rain Doyle and Batchelor will cry like big babies and try and get it off.

lisa-colette 6,028 Posted October 9, 2019 Yes looking at the rain today website there is a whole band of showers moving across the whole country. If one doesn't hit, they have done extremely well!
mike1944 151 Posted October 9, 2019 Even if there is a threat of rain later we will undoubtedly see the usual undue delays at the starting gate, false starts and anything to delay the proceedings. There is no reason why this match could not be done and dusted if organised efficiently when one considers there is no more than 20 minutes at the very most of actual racing. Riders could be out as soon as the previous riders return to the pit gates except when there is track grading or when a rider has 2 consecutive rides. Any false riders should return to the gates within 1 minute ready for a restart, bikes should be fuelled accordingly to allow for this. If they mess about with any rain forecast they will stand no chance of getting this meeting off the ground.
