Bewley injured from last night and has withdrawn from the meeting.

So the Polish bubble on attendances finally bursts on what should have been the biggest night of World Speedway! Call it as you want but the combined attendances of the Speedway Of Nations Semi Finals and Final night would not have half filled a magnificent Stadium, WHY? I have posted previously of my thoughts, but additionally I must add now that with all the school holidays and fine weather (Hopefully during them) more meetings need to be scheduled around them. If a rider wants to concentrate on riding abroad then so be it. Many young supporters now identify with the present up and coming riders and prefer the interaction with them. I stand by my original post and hopefully it is taken into consideration at any meeting deciding the format of the future.

'Totally false advertising' feels like something of an exaggeration. Do you know they 'could of' (I assume you mean 'could have') filled it with more 'age appropriate' riders? Which ones do you know were available and didn't get invited?

My opinion is Redcar will miss Jody but not as much als we will miss Lawson and Jake Allen is a good guest for Riss, shame the Ryder Cup isnt today!!!!

To that end I'd recommend that you contact Jason Pipe and he'll tell you how many riders agreed to ride and then withdrew or were asked but declined the invitation. The 'Young Stars' part of the meeting name was to differentiate between the level that the senior side ride at and the National Development League which pretty much every rider in the meeting rides in. As an event I think it was a big success and will have done many of the riders present the world of good.
