All his gear is probably all packed up and on the way back to Oz!

That's actually embarrassing by the SCB. With the amount of matches riders miss for foreign meetings seemingly perfectly acceptable, this where they draw the line!

I appreciate it is pretty pointless responding to you, because you take no account of facts. Wimbledon speedway did not leave Plough Lane because of either lack of interest or viability. Indeed, Wimbledon were planning to apply to move up from the then 3rd division to the 2nd division at the time the lease was not renewed. The only reason that speedway ended was because the owners would not give a new lease to the speedway club because they wanted to develop the site (which they did). All leaseholders on the site (speedway, motorbike training school, stock cars etc) were refused new leases. The owners applied for and got planning permission for circa 600 flats, and provided land and a multi million pound donation to AFC Wimbledon to assist in building its new stadium, thereby allowing the Council to grant planning permission whilst maintaining sporting use on site. This has all been documented many times and is in the public domain. In relation to the possible new site, then Wimbledon in Sporting History have made statements about the possibility of a new track in the area, and work continues to explore that option. There is interest and I'm sure that any new stadium will be built to a size that better ensures viability.

I think the key point is that SON is not an attractive format to many, hence fewer travelling fans, let alone fewer local fans to whom, in this case, it was an expensive exercise

2025 Torun SON and SON 2

Arguably you only deserve it if you achieve it. His performance this season is probably the best GP campaign without winning the title to date though. Kurtz’s 2025 is the best debut GP season anyone has ever had so far too. Hopefully he can maintain these levels and we get a competitive title race in 2026. -
What bubble burst out of interest? You've got your theory and I’ve got the factual answer, in Poland, this wasn’t the biggest night in world speedway. Poland doesn’t care about ‘World’ speedway, same they don’t care about British, Swedish or Danish. Ekstraliga final was bigger than this to them, and so was Vojens GP final. They have small interest in SoN. Out of curiosity, why does everyone think it’s a joke that Polish fans didn’t fill the stadium, it was £40-90 for one ticket. I’ve been to Ekstraliga matches for £7. Also, Poland wasn’t the only team racing, where were the masses of Swedish, British, Danish, Australian, Czech fans? And before you say “it was in Poland” the FIFA world cup is all over the world but millions of other nations travel to different countries to watch it.

And PGE Ekstraliga attendances plummeted from 9625 last year down to a pathetic 10325 this year.

And the award to the fool speaking the biggest amount of boll*cks this week goes to… You really need to stop now. Wrong on all accounts. Go back under the bridge with the other trolls…

Thought I seen him on TV in Poland last night, probably still celebrating with the Aussies.
