Was it really only three seasons Bagpuss ? I thought he was there for a bit longer but I was getting more interested in night clubs at that time, I seem to remember Knight going to Berwick to make way another Mike Lee comback but that season the old Mike was long gone I remember him following Andy Meredith in one race when Andy was essentially a wobbler, Mike kept lining him up but just didn't have the bottle to make the pass.

May be worth a read. Posted on Speedway News.PL this afternoon. https://speedwaynews.pl/zuzel/zaskakujace-doniesienia-jednak-nie-dojdzie-do-rewolucji/ Seems the Poles happy to give fans an indication of how things look currently on 2026 UK League make ups.

Think it is correct,Assets no longer exist. Have no Idea what it means financially.

Important day for Panthers tommorow 21ST Oct hopefully the day the EEAS and AEPG have their planning proposals rejected. Hope we get a good turn out of fans to show what this club means to us

Good.

There was mitigating circumstances which contributed to barker's poor away form,I'm certain that will be improved in 2026 wherever he rides. Looking forward to see what team Mark and Garry put together for 2026.massive change of feel good factor around the club with increased crowds, good meetings, beating Poole 3 times helps just need to keep the momentum going, winning trophies would be great but good atmosphere, happy punters for Plymouth is priority. Scott Nicholls was blown away by the atmosphere and feel good factor whether it's enough for him to sign for 2026 remains to be seen. Rest assured Plymouth are on a upward spiral.

Still buzzing from this, a few days later. What an advert for speedway. Howarth’s move on Cook was so tough, but fair, and Lawson tried the same on Howarth and Harris. Love it. Watched the meeting back this afternoon and Cook sounded a bit sheepish in his interview after Howarth’s move, but to say he responded is an understatement. He became Poole’s talisman. Harris’ move on him in heat 15 defies logic. Breathtaking. Gutted it’s over until April.

Fair enough, happy to be enlightened.

Poole 2026

Need to build a higher fence around the track if Allen’s going to Redcar. -
Assets no longer exist, riders are classed as self employed

Glasgow Tigers 2026
TheWellBehavedWorrall replied to SilentLurker's topic in SGB Championship League Speedway
Hopefully not. With all due respect to the younger Pijper, I’ve saw him a couple of times this season and he hasn’t looked anywhere near ready for Championship speedway. I’d happily take Hodder and Perry back; give them an opportunity to build a tough season, but if forced to pick one, it’s a no brainer in Hodder. If we can steal Loftus from Edinburgh, then we’d be laughing. He’s got great potential and the Facenna’s could send his gran back in Australia a mobility motor to sweeten the deal. What do you think, @Mr Blobby? Deal? -
Do they not? So, we've not been getting a loan fee for Ace? I'm happy to concede if you know more than me.
-
Assets no longer exist though do they?
- Today

Ace is a Glasgow asset, and I wonder if we might be thinking double Pijper at reserve, with wee brother Steyn, that might swing the deal.
-
I don't see any reason he wouldn't be there again.
-
I'd be stunned if Ace was not at Redcar again, but I guess you never know!

redcar racing bears v Poole FTG pirates
old bob at herne bay replied to Coraldon's topic in SGB Championship League Speedway
I am sure you have, away performances not the issue this week. Was referring more specifically to the HOME fixture this Wednesday when Poole may face a wet wimborne road. They will take some dirt off and pack it down hard so you might get a meeting on ..... ? -

As Victor Meldrew would say " I don't believe it" . Much more likely is no desire to risk running on any other night but Wednesdays. Would be business suicide and fully understandable. Wednesday night in Poole is speedway night. Crowds would evaporate on any other night, in whichever league Poole participated. -
Think Jake Allen will be at Redcar as he lives in Middlesborough
-
I'd have Perry instead of Hodder BUT only to allow us to potentially have a higher averaged No6, for example Ace Pijper. I do think Perry has improved. It is a numbers game but coming last by twenty yards when having lead for a couple of laps, for example, is definitely an improvement on coming dead last by fifty yards having been last all race.

Haven't you ever heard them when they cover a championship match or lower, or cup ties involving a non PL club, most of the time they haven't got a clue
-
I'm a neutral who only comes to Poole 2 or 3 times a season when I am in the area. Obviously you go more often than me and are happy with what you see ( as are many others) but in my recent experience there is very little entertaining racing at Poole ( again, I accept that for Poole supporters winning creates an atmosphere, and more atmosphere makes sport seem more entertaining).
