  3. Who is a huge supporter of youth speedway in the UK.
  4. If some of the new consortium members are Polish, how about tempting Kubera or Dudek here?
  5. No. We know Leicester's team-building is done with strength-in-depth in mind. If they wanted a big-hitting No.1, they'd have kept Fricke. Who is available, who is better than Douglas, who could challenge Fricke, Kurtz, Bewley, Holder as a high-profile No.1? There's only Zmarzlik, and if they were willing to push the boat out for Zmarzlik, then keeping Fricke would have been a cheaper and easier No.1 option.
  6. Yesterday
  7. World no.2. 8.97 Bargain average compared with others both above and below that?
  8. Since the new main stand was built at Oxford the noise seems to be forced away from the housing and along the railway line and bypass
  9. Doubt it. Who’s better than Douglas? Kurtz obviously, but who else?
  10. Agreed. As with three out of the last four seasons when they have been the best team in the league, I can see similar success in 2026.
  11. Cheers didn't think his average was so high
  12. I would imagine that will be clear favourites
  13. Where did this rumour of Ipswich having a GP rider next season come from? If Louis had negotiated any such deal it is now surely meaningless if he is looking to sell up? I don’t see how people can speculate on the Witches line up when it has yet to be confirmed who is taking over or even if they will run!
  14. Great start to the 2026 team building, hopefully we see a few more familiar faces back at Owlerton in the coming day and weeks, with maybe the odd new Tiger as well. Obviously we’ll need a new Rising Star for 2026, is Steelers Luke Harrison going to get the nod?
  15. With the other teams naming high-profile number one riders, will there be a change to Leicester's apparent team-building approach? Could there still be an Australian wearing no.1, but not the one being widely tipped?
  16. Oxford was built before the houses [in 1939] so planning permission was never much of an issue.
  17. How can places like oxford and belle vue operate with houses literally oppoaite and other places cant? oh theres a house there better not build there?
  18. One too many injuries for me, also new owners need to be trying to find up & coming talent for the future
  19. Takes more than a multi alias troll to upset me sunshine...
  20. True but I am a realist and most are down for planning houses with the greenbelt and would be 4 years starting from scratch.Look how long it has taken Workington for a stadium but a good one at that.
  21. ARC own Newcastle Greyhound Stadium. The same guys who closed Birmingham and kicked speedway out of Central Park, Sittingbourne.
  22. You are right Poole can offer the rìders something else, it's called, Wessex Marine.
  23. Kings Lynn Training school was run by the late great Olle Nygren.
  24. Interesting reminisce there about the revival of West Ham in 1964. Gave me my weekly fix of speedway after the New Cross Rangers closed midway through 1963 in an ill fated attempt to run in the Provincial Leagues (the 2nd tier in those days) Lasted 10 years ish until the huge stadium and grounds succumbed to housing. The economics of running a " 1st Division" speedway sport business in the 21st century in the UK dont stack up.
  25. Aha, Young Buster, threatened to pull out of KL speedway and retire some tears ago, yet still raking in the money from the "Adrian Flux" Arena events . in he same breath took over Peterborough Panthers 🙂 and also had an interest in Ipswch Witches. Would be no great suprise if Buster was lurking in the background looking to pick up a bargain 🙃 All in the intersts of the sport of course 🙂 🙂
