  1. Past hour
  2. Plymouth knew that his teams abroad came first when they signed him and they still chose to šŸ¤·šŸ»ā€ā™‚ļø so that’s not his fault
  3. We've tried numerous times on here and the Updates site itself to no success those that do volunteer often do it once or twice and then are never seen again. As I said previously I'm no longer involved with the site, So it's up to someone else to sort these things now
  4. Not the first reliable rider riding for Kings Lynn to do it tho.
  5. Today
  6. A loose sold out announcement was an even bigger catastrophe. Not being able to say goodbye to my local club I won’t forget for those responsible.
  7. Just threaten to close down and they will flock to the last meeting. Birmingham tonight was ā€˜sold out’ (except it wasn’t according to fans inside the stadium) and people were turned away. I know, I was one of them. Wolves last ever match I’ve never seen a crowd like it as well. it seems the only thing that works.
  8. I won't hold that against you! And I do understand where you are coming from. I started going in 1969, and, even though crowds were much bigger than the 2000's, if I read programme notes from back then promoters were bemoaning the large drop off in crowds compared to the 60's and 50's. I'm sure there are many more knowledgeable forum members who could put numbers to it, and when the real decline started
  9. Although of course Kings Lynn have form for riders picking riding for them as well. It absolutely is correct. I volunteered for 6 seasons there. Apparently that counts for nothing. Quite a few were locked out with entry refused because it was ā€˜sold out’. My neighbour came over after the match to say there was room. more incompetency from the club. If only speedway had that problem of actually having full crowds. Buts that’s rarely been the case for any league meeting in many a year. Apparently fans came from all over the UK to visit and no doubt lots of lost fans or last chance viewers came to give it the send off it deserved.
  10. I’m told it’s not the same guy
  11. No excuse for that performance tonight, it was woeful but it kind of didn’t matter in the grand scheme of things, the council again proving they are tossers, shutting the doors and turning people away after 1500 fans, saw lots of old faces there tonight, where have you been all year ? Really felt like where do we go from here as a sport ? And at this point I don’t know and I don’t have the faith in the people running it either, it really felt like a funeral tonight and not just for Birmingham speedway
  12. Speedway peaked a long time before 2000. The decline started way before that.
  13. He was planning to, but travelling up whilst injured to sit in the pits didn’t take his fancy. Fitting end to watch Andy Grahame take some final laps after the meeting.
  14. This brings back a lot of teenage memories for me. Speedway peaked between 2000 - 2015. The decline started when Matt Ford shafted Coventry and Peterborough.
  15. A huge shame that the Brummies have gone out with such a whimper. A complete disgrace from Musielak tonight who retired in three of his five rides. Also a disgrace from him & Zagar not to come out with the rest of the team to applaud and say goodbye to the fans. Wank3rs.
  16. Likewise when Chick and Peter T opened up Arena we’d have the Easter 4s matches - v Hackney V Rye H and Eastbourne - usually the Hackney and Arena matches would be on the same day with Rye on the Saturday and Eastbourne on the Sunday! Later on there would be the Good Friday double header with the Witches I think Lynn had dropped down? So it would be Foxhall in the lunchtime start and then down to Arena for the Evening - I know one year they reported 3k at Foxhall and 1900 at Arena let’s just say I am convinced they were under reported!!!
  17. It deffo happened. There is a few I’ve seen comment that they was turned away because it was sold out
  18. Personally I don't have a problem with it, as long as there is a club at a decent level and it's competitive, that'll do me. We had a pretty successful time in the CL under Mr Dickson and none of the fans were asking to move up to PL on a Thursday/Monday night as shown with the drop in crowds.
  19. then the 2 teams who dont make the play off can have there own play off for the wooden spoon 🤣
  20. What about Leicester Iain? I heard on a podcast the other day that they are considering whether to stay in the Prem or not. Sounds a bit like Poole at the end of 2019.
  21. Absolutely spot on.šŸ˜‰It was the appointment of others who haven't a clue!!!!šŸ™„
  22. It's not an us and them situation like it used to be with the BL & NL now though, it's one association
