Ta for the correction, I remember thinking why return for the International "friendly" but he got injured again before that. I remember him saying he rode because he didn't feel any pain, but I wonder if he considered "what happens if I fall again"? Obviously riders could crash on any meeting, but if it happens when you've not fully recovered you can keep putting yourself out for longer. I guess Doyle doesn't think about that? Tbh not many riders do.
-
So wait are you suggesting Glasgow don’t have financial muscle? I’m not going to criticise Glasgow for paying what they feel is worthwhile for riders to put the best team on track but it’s disingenuous from you to suggest they don’t do that.

How many pennies did you slip into Palmtree's back pocket?
-
2 years ago, he was falling down the rankings, but last year was challenging for the title till he got injured. So can understand him thinking "what can I do with an injury free season" of course we'll never know now. If he can get fully fit & have a good last couple of rounds, may feel he's good enough to challenge for the podium / title again next year.

Could have understood Plymouth or Scunthorpe but Redcar & Workington are normally 2 of our better crowds -
Mickie Simpson signed to replace Matt Marson (on official green sheets). But I haven't read anything about than on Plymouth's socials?
-
I agree Workington are poor, I agree Workington should look to strengthen up. But that doesn't mean sign a rider who's been going worse than your current 7.

Birmingham v Sheffield Mon 16th June PL

Sounds like another great advertisement for the sport, thankfully the only ones who saw it are the diehard fans or who paid BSN. I was never going to sub to BSN this season, it’s not their fault but the sport now is just going further down the drain with tracks no better than some grassy field, and I think they will struggle over time as who is going to pay money to watch paint dry? -
The SCB usually announce any bans, so I wouldn't believe it unless they've posted about it.
- Today
-
I've also been told his injury has coincided with a 28-day ban, although so much has been said about his situation that I'm not really sure what to believe at this point.

There will be a free stream which should be available to watch with a VPN -
I'm not saying he's a good replacement for MJJ, but if Birmingham aren't willing to look abroad, there ain't a lot of options. Barker? Batchelor?

Leicester Lions 2025

I can't see any reason for signing Steve Worrall at all, apart from the "principle" of wanting a full team. Think Leicester would be stronger with r/r or Prem guests, there's always a chance Worrall may take a guest booking or two when every Prem club is riding (bar one) and options are limited, but when they have other options could pick a stronger guest than Worrall. I don't think the rules encourage teams to make changes, as in this case Leicester look stronger keeping Becker in the 1-7. If Becker drops down the teams averages, then guests will be more worthwhile, but at the moment r/r should work. -

Just as long as it doesn't happen in the play-offs -
Really the way the Workington riders are riding ?
-
His 2025 average is below every one of the Comets, can't see how he would strengthen the team.

No what focuses the mind is things like being deducted £5000 by the club for your mechanic not having the right shirt on or not having a extraleague sticker in the right place on the back doors of your van or being late for a practice or not attending a school to give a chat to local kids, the list is very long and the total of your pay packet often doesn’t match what you scored , it’s called discipline and it focuses the mind

think same can be said for Littler & Humphries 😉

Well if he can still gate nobody is coming past him no matter how slow he is these days, I remember a couple of years back when he destroyed part of Birminghams fence with the track grader, must of thought someone was trying to get by him and turned right 😂
