What average would Pedersen & Hausl start on? I'll assume Pedersen has experience in his homeland & has ridden in the top Danish league & the Polish U24. Hausl is only in Germany but has a Seychelles passport so like Aussies Kiwis & SA riders is from the Commonwealth.

I am a Leicester fan and I never want to see quitter Kemp or sniffer Morris in a Lions race jacket again, they've both let the club down badly in the past!

2026 Premiership is Go! - At least 5 teams

Probably quite a lot to start off with. New or returning clubs always seem to have a honeymoon period in the first year or so. - Yesterday

Just thinking any Prem club interested in Riss would be best to wait till his Champ season starts, then sign him a few weeks into the season. Current Prem ave is 6.46, but Champ converted would be 4.75. Of course that could change a little, once he rides in the Champ. To a lesser extent Pickering would be 7.76 in the Prem, but 6.14 on a Champ converted ave. This is why I dislike the current system, as it almost encourages manipulation, as it's legal. -
all look capable in those averages. If I was a Leicester fan, would be happy with that team. Especially if Gilkes was RS, as someone else mentioned.

What will 2026 UK speedway bring?
old bob at herne bay replied to Lionsman66's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
2027 surely will be one league and an "NDL" or equivalent. The "PL 5" in 2026 will struggle to avoid making heavy losses, (even if 5 come to the tapes) with an inferior standard of product which will not be attactive to their established fan base. Still hamstrung by Monday and Thursday operations, and with upward pressure on budgets due to lack of TV sponsorship, don't see any reduction in PL admission fees. Will all 5 come to the tapes in 2027? If one more club falls the PL will fall in 2027. The big guns have all departed to Europe in 2026 and I don't see them returning. As has been pointed out riders can operate across mainland Europe and Scandinavia with just one set of equipment mechanics and transport, avoiding duplicating eqipment and avoiding costly and time wasting air travel to UK. The current CL will form the one league, but not without challenges in 2027. UK based riders faced with only one league to earn money will either choose to retire , go semi professional, or race overseas. There might just be enough riders willing to race in one league and sustain the curent number of CL teams with no doubling up opportunities. Meanwhile we will see a whole raft of old chestnuts of defunct tracks and new tracks being touted as being the saviours of UK speedway. None seem attractive business investments. -
6 Champ heat leaders is a "half decent team"?

I'm sure they squeeze a couple more in 😁 if they had too. -
Re my recent post, now found both local Sainsbury and Tesco supermarkets stock Speedway Star.. for folks who cannot get their copiy by subscription. TG Jones appear not to carry the magazine in this area ... Not surprised about Royal Mail . We only see a postman on Fridays it seems , unless I have a mail order parcel, andthe parcel comes with a bundle of letters with an elastic band. Fortunately all my local GP surgery appointments and my London Hospital appointments are all sent online.

Yes we have been couple of times and love going to Zielona Gora, unfortunately we were there when Darcy got injured. Atmosphere always sensational. Just wondered for wroclaw how hard it was for league match as normally seems practically full. -

Agreed it will be the most rigged fight ever AJ might be ten years past his best but there's a real risk he could kill Paul if he hit him with an uppercut so the word will have to go down come in one 20% of your ability tops but your right it will still pull in a fortune in readies. -

Surely for a rider to be called an " out and out number one" he should have an average close to 10? 9.50? "Number one" : 8.50 - 9.49 "Number one because that's the highest average in the team": 0.00 - 8.49

Palm Toft on a 4.07 converted ave? Former Lynn rider.

Just got back from STAARS meeting. It's going to be a tough year but we are going to be in good hands. I think we will have a good team, but time will tell on that one. Let's just get through this year then hopefully a better solution can be sorted for 2027

Just wondering how easy it is to get a ticket for a Wroclaw home match? Are all matches sold out? Do you just get tickets on the website or at the stadium, and do they release them so many days before the match? Thanks in advance. -
I think he would take to the Prem just fine and he offers so much both on and off the track as a signing. And I think he would be there every week unlike Gusts and put in 100% every race unlike Gusts. Basically he would be a much better signing than Gusts on pretty much every measure you could think of.

Today after 3 weeks of no magazine three were delivered, this weeks i had already bought from Sainsburys, this poor delivery service has been going on since August hence the reason after 30 odd years of subscribing im not renewing. I wonder what the affect of this dire royal mail service will have overall on people buying the magazine during the winter months? I would recommend buying from the supermarket or ordering from the newsagents, the mail service is done.

Thats possibly correct but i can remember no increase in admission and during those years the crowds were consistently into 5 figures, so there was no dependency on trying to bring in extra fans to cover for four races, the crowd levels today would not cover it i also dont think todays riders would travel from say Eastbourne to Manchester for 4 rides.
