  1. Past hour
  2. Pretty stiff breeze this morning from the south west although it is due lessen into the evening. The back straight is more sheltered with the wind from this direction as there are pine trees surrounding . Any dust will affect starting gate side, any early evening sunshine will mainly be on this side also as well as bends 1&2. I was reading that there will be a fly by along the coast by the Red Arrows who will be on their way from Blackpool to Edinburgh Tattoo around 6-30pm which will be better seen from starting gate side. Don't blame me if they don't materialise though 🤣, hope its a great meeting .
  3. I'm surprised that Ben Barker is ridding so soon after dislocating his shoulder, hard to see how he can be on top form, we'll see. By my quick calculation Poole are now confirmed in the play offs. But would be great to see them push on tonight, it should be a tight match up, so probably a matter of who wants the result most.
  4. According to the transponders, Flint beat Etheridge by one-hundredth of a second 🏁
  5. I thought Flint was 3rd as well. But that's 'professional' speedway for you. Well the riders are less about the rest at times.
  6. Lovely trip up to Glasgow as always. One of my favourite tracks and facilities. I was expecting a battering but was left pleasantly surprised. Some fantastic racing throughout. Vinnie foord has fantastic after his first heat loss and heat 13 when troy beat the unbeatable was phenomenal. Troy has improved these last two few meetings and im chuffed for him tbh. I was in the grand stand surrounded by Glasgow Fans but every one of them seemed decent. Being in the grand stand gave me a beautiful view of the finishing line and I am 100% confident that Jye beat flint to the line but it is what it is.
  7. We have the same with Luke Harrison, young riders just learning their trade. They have good rides as a reserve and get bumped up into the main body of the team and struggle . It happens far to often and the newcomers need some sort of protection at this level.
  8. Surely you have to include Dayle Wood in that remark? Hagon is still young and learning. Being at #2 can't be helping, as he comes up against the oppositions #1 in his first ride and (probably) a much stronger #2 opponent. Jack Smith has been around for quite some time now and clearly isn't getting any better, but clubs still insist on giving him "another" chance. Arguably the same could be said about Dayle Wood (new over here, but has been riding for quite a while) and has maybe reached the standard he will achieve?
  9. Today
  10. But would Hagon have gone to reserve? Surely it would be Trigger & Wood at reserve, Hagon stays in top 5 🤷‍♂️
  11. Only in speedway can you be rewarded for failure and penalised for success!
  12. Lets be honest is there anything Dickson has got right in his time with Berwick….
  13. As an extra bonus for anyone going to the speedway this evening, the famous Red arrows are due to fly over around 18.27 - 18.32 😄
  14. Breezy and high clouds now in worky, even bbc weather app and others says sunny afternoon/evening, so I would pack your sandwiches and come up the M6 to worky 😄 FYI peak holiday season and roadworks just before jjct 40 penrith with a 40 mph limit, plan a little extra time, and its cash only at the GT tyres northside arena. Enjoy the speedway
  15. Berwick had the opportunity to swap either rider for Trigger. I would've brought him in for Smith.
  16. Strange night last night thankfully it was only Scunny we were against. Track was a bit tricky bit grippy going in causing a few issues, not like us to get track prep wrong. Kye looked a bit down on pace, Grahn was either good or pants and MPT is an utter waste of time and seriously needs to get the finger out.Never thought I’d see the day Simon Lambert scores paid 15 round the dale but it happened.
  17. my phone says weather ok for tonight, anyone else confirm its ok ?
  18. Very credible showing from Workington last night. Certain Workington riders are probably riding one position above their level. Troy 5 and Zischke in the middle order. 2, 4 and the reserves all impressed me at times last night. Glasgow's top two came to the rescue last night. Howarth was excellent and Bomber was well Bomber. Be interesting to see if Nagel returns this week.
  19. You have to admit, if it wasn't for the Poole guest, probably would have been more 😀
