Frustrating Start For George Piper

Recommended Posts

George had a frustrating start today having his NO 1 engine sieze in the workshop

but was also boosted by being told that he had been selected for this years ACU Academy.

George has been invited to Buxtons press and practice day and is looking forward to putting in some laps after spending the winter playing rugby for Sturminster Newton High School and football for Stalbridge U15s. He has found training with the football team on wednesday nights helpful and also has the backing of his school for this season as he turns 15 during the summer who have made there gym available for him.

Many thanks to both Buxton and Plymouth for offering the track time this coming season :approve:

Sad news about the engine Steve, expensive ol' business it when something like this happens.

Good luck for the season George.

Certainly bad luck for George with the engine --- you'll have to get out and do some gigs Steve to earn some extra pennies to pay for the repairs!!

Its some U15 races for Peter Oakes which George was invited for.

Hopefully we will get up another track George likes. Though last time in the U15s final he was riding there with a broken rib and when he got wiped out in his thrid ride with Dan Kirkman it was all he could do to get on the bike for the re-run and his last 2 rides. Plus with his good friend Ben Hopwood there this year I am sure we will be there at some stage.

Its always a pleasure to come up to West Row, always enjoyable trips :approve:
