COMMENTS

Hi there - well Boz has arrived at the track and says that it is a fairly nice evening and the track's looking good. There's also a big crowd there too. The formula is straightforward - 20 heats, 16 riders, five rides each with the top scorer winning the event. There is no semi final or final. There is one change to the original line up: Theo Pijper replaces Christian Henry at number 8.

Heat 1: Gary Havelock from the gate with Jack Hargreaves making a good pass on Lee Smethills.

Heat 2: Theo Pijper fell on the first bend and has been excluded from the rerun. A harsh decision which might better have been called as 'all four back'. In the rerun Claus Vissing fell on the third lap but remounted and looks good.

Heat 3: It was a good battle between the front three for a couple of laps before Howe pulled away.

Heat 4: There was a great battle between Kerr and Hall before Hall pulled clear and challenged Skornicki.

Heat 5: Great battle for all four laps between David Howe and Gary Havelock.

Heat 6: From the gate.

Heat 7: George Stancl won by a 'mile' while Kevin Little and Chris Kerr had a good tussle behind him. The track is a bit dry and hard to make a pass.

Heat 8: From the gate.

Leaders after two rides each: Freddie Lindgren 6, David Howe, 6, Gary Havelock 5, George Stancl 5, Adam Skornicki 5, Richard Hall 5.

Heat 9: A fantastic race! Gary Havelock went from third to first in a brilliant move down the back straight before Richard Hall caught and repassed him. Great stuff!

Heat 10: From the gate.

Heat 11: Adam Skornicki fell and remounted on the second lap.

Heat 12: From the gate but Kenneth Hansen fell on the third lap while third. Great effort from the young lads with Claus Vissing almost snatching the win on the line.

Leaders after three rides each: David Howe 9, Richard Hall 8, Gary Havelock 7, Freddie Lindgren 7, George Stancl 6, James Wright 6

Heat 13: From the gate with Claus Vissing looking 'quite handy'.

Heat 14: Great ride from Kenneth Hansen. Theo Pijper passed Jack Hargreaves on the last lap.

Heat 15: A great race and a great move by Richard Hall to pass George Stancl on the outside.

Heat 16: David Howe led until Chris Kerr passed him. On the same straight Freddie Lindgren passed Kerr but Kerr almost repassed Lindgren on the line. Great stuff from Kerr!

Leaders after four rides each: Richard Hall 11, Gary Havelock 10, Freddie Lindgren 10, David Howe 10, James Wright 8, George Stancl 7.

Heat 17: Fantastic battle between Chris Kerr and Gary Havelock with Kerr pulling clear towards the end.

Heat 18: Fantastic race again between the front two with passing on each bend but Richard Hall sneaked it on the line.

Heat 19: Great move by Freddie Lindgren on the third bend, second lap to pass George Stancl.

Heat 20: From the gate. There was a great reception for Kevin Little on his lap of honour afterwards.

There will be a run off between Gary Havelock (Red) and David Howe (yellow). Havelock is off gate 1 and Howe off gate 4.

Run off: Howe retired while at the back on the second lap.

12 month ago, Richard Hall would not have beat Gary Havelock or Freddie Lindgren anywhere!! Well Done to him, hopefully a few other young Brits will follow his example and throw themselves into the EL.

STMP is not easy either and considering how small it is, a reall great effort from Hall - I didnt fancy hi chances againts Havelock, Lingdren or Howe - but he was a class act!

Richard Hall was absolutely fantastic i thought, rode lines only matt t has rode round here. Thoroughly deserved win. Howe was alot better than i thought too, and while Lindgren was awesome when he gated, the one race he didnt gate was nowhere really.

Havvy did well, although for me Chris was th best Bear. Looked great and will be a top, top rider next year in my opinion. Some fantastic racing tonight i though ,a joy to watch.

Well it suprises me a little that he's beat Lindgren and Havvy

but in some ways it doesn't suprise me, as it shows what great

strides he's made in the last 18 mths 2 years. The world is his

oyster, if he wants it!!.
