The Ashfield Classic has been cancelled but the meeting today is the Heathersfield Golden Helmet - perhaps the thread title needs amending?

A very entertaining meeting which was quite well attended.

Surprised to see young Czech rider Matej Kus in this meeting, since it was essentially a meeting of Conference League standard.

 

Kus is one of his countries' top Under-21 riders so I'm not surprised he won it!

I saw M Cus on the BSPA site I thought Scotland had unearthed some great talent. Shame

 

I'm guessing eh was coming over for the Ashfield Classic anyway, so rather than turn him away, they let him ride.
