TwoMinuteWarning 69 Posted March 29, 2007 (edited) Qualifier 1 - Abensberg, Germany - 28 May Germany v Finland v Latvia v Slovenia Qualifier 2 - Lonigo, Italy - 10 June Italy v Czech Rep v Hungary v Russia Event 1 - Vojens, Denmark - 14 July Denmark v Australia v Poland v Winner of Qualifier 1 Event 2 - Coventry, GB - 16 July Great Britain v Sweden v USA v Winner of Qualifier 2 Race-Off - Leszno, Poland - 19 July 2nd & 3rd place teams from Events 1 & 2 Final - Leszno, Poland - 21 July Winners of Events 1 & 2, plus Winner and 2nd of Race-Off Strange comment in today's Speedway Star, that Middlo was pleased to have avoided holders Denmark in Events 1 & 2. Since one was scheduled to take place in GB, and the other in Denmark, that was never a possibility! Have to say that the Vojens match looks much the tougher of the two. pirate paul 1 Posted March 29, 2007 Should be a decent chance for GB to get straight into the final, although I can't see anyone other than Poland winning it again.
SPEEDY69 1,276 Posted March 29, 2007 Think that both event 1 & 2 will be tough. Think Poland will need the race off to get through, but on home soil should win again but it all depends upon the state of the track!

Olsen's word might be law everywhere else, but there's a higher authority when it comes to Poland.
iris123 21,047 Posted March 29, 2007 Certainly looking forward to Vojens.Should be a cracker, especially if Germany manage to get through .Definitely think this years World Chams will be there.Who it will be? I am not as certain as some that Poland will make it again
Sandie 53 Posted March 29, 2007 Event 2 - Coventry, GB - 16 July Great Britain v Sweden v USA v Winner of Qualifier 2 <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Now we know what we will be missing. (Not here - on holibobs!) Sounds like a great meeting - Great Britain - Chris Harris Scott Nicholls Sweden - AJ USA Billy J Billy Hammill Greg Hancock ALL good round Coventry and no doubt others will start adding names to that list. Guest Schumi Posted March 29, 2007 Well we've certainly got the easier route, and being at Coventry won't hurt our chances, but I don't think it's necessarily a gimme, especially with Loram unlikely to take his place.
Subedei 0 Posted March 29, 2007 Well we've certainly got the easier route. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> As Cilla Black might've said, "surprise surprise".

Poland might win this year - but I don't think they will find it at all easy.
