Dunno where Leigh got the "track's been watered" bit - may have been earlier in the day but certainly none after it rained - and was still raining at track up to circa 5.45pm. Given that, track rode well following extensive work on it by the track staff that commenced as soon as the rain stopped.

VERY pleased to report that his injuries are NOT as bad as initially feared you two. X-rays revealed no break / fractures and the verdict is some ligament damage which should heal up with a few days rest provided he doesn't put any weight on the damaged ankle. He's ruled out of Berwick's match at Stoke tonight.

To all my friends on the Island and Bryn, how did Patrick Hougaard look?

Also what about Casper the friendly speedway rider?

Pleased to hear Sam Martin is OK, poor old Peasley would have had a sleepless night!

H man,

After a schedule that involved writing a report for the Oxford Mail on Sunday as well as my usual duties and then team managing at Scunthorpe on Monday, and getting about fours hours sleep both nights, I can assure you I slept like a log last night!

Great news that Sam's injury isn't as bad as feared.

All the best

Rob
