Any thoughts on Tai Woffindons inclusion in the team if we get to the run-off or final?

Kelvin Tatum mentioned something quite interesting after Jim Lynch anounced this on sky last night, what happens if Olly Allen or Simon Stead have brilliant perfomance, how can you 'drop' them.

I hope Tai gets the nod as it will be a learning process and experience for the future.

On a side note: 5 Coventry specialists with at least 3 seasons racing thier each, can anyone beat them? On paper it looks a strong GB side with the track in mind but all the top Danes and Swedes will ride it well aswell. It will be a very tough meeeting but great racing surely.

to be honest i dont think young wuffy will do any worse than stead or allen would in vojens and he has a lot more potential than either of them in my opinion so why not get him in there now and give him a bit of experience on the big stage and he doesnt strike me as the sort of lad who would let the occassion get to him or let his head drop if he has a poor one england have nothing to lose by putting him in and tai has a lot to gain

I know it seems like 3 years but its only 3 months Steady has been in the Bees team.

With all due respect but there's NOTHING controversial in my book about Eddie & Tai being in the GB squad; but I really can't see how Oliver Allen warrants selection..

It's a sorry state of affairs if we have to pick a rider just to grab home track advantage in a qualifier...

Lets face it we are not going to win the Cup so I say give him a go.

Once again, its a tired looking selection, and as previously said, very sad that some riders get picked simply because they know the track well.

I agree with SK, we aren't good enough to win the cup, so give Tai and Eddie a bash. They will certainly give the other teams riders something to think about.

Because Olly Allen is as good or bad as any Brit around Brandon , but hey he is an easy scape goat so why not pick on him.

Why not pick the worst riders for Brandon that would make more sense

For what it's worth my team would be:

Scott Nicholls

Chris Harris

Eddie Kennett

Tai Woffinden

Lewis Bridger

Mixture of experience and youth - building for the future

Because his EL average is 7.38, and Tai's is... ah, there's my point. He doesn't have one.

Olly is known to go well around Brandon and has beaten GP riders on his home track. Tai, on the other hand, is yet to prove that he can do the same. Why take the risk when we have a rider who has already shown he can do it?

BTW, I'm not saying Tai couldn't do it, because I reckon he could, but he hasn't proven himself at Brandon like Olly has.

Common sense, if you ask me.

I think we should wait and see how the boys do, then knock them if they disappoint. At least give them a chance, and give them your support. We've all seen how having the crowd behind you can make a difference. :)

Let's face it. It's not like the Poles picked home track specialist when the final was held over there is it... Oh, hang on...

On the subject to PL riders who have made the cut - good luck to Daniel Nermark! After all his injury troubles it's great to see him take part in such a high-profile speedway meeting.

Exactly the same team as I said to a mate of mine when the team was announced.. Atleast Tai and Eddie will get a ride in the ride off
