Ice Racing 2009

Recommended Posts

Just back from Finland, the answer to the question is no. The same old problem for the British, his partner had another baby (when we were in Russia) and the cost of the ferries and travelling.

It's a real shame as it was a well organised meeting and it would have been good experience for him.

The problem will always remain, while British Ice Racing is rider (self) financed.

Thanks for that Mark, please pass on my best wishes to Kevin.

Well done on your performance too.

Last year in Berlin we all met up behind the first and second turn near all the stalls. If anyone wants to meet up there this year, I'm sure we can arrange times.

Malinen really has gathered himself quite a few meetings this season around Europe and Russia. He has a pretty enthusiastic group of people behind him helping out. Hopefully he'll turn out good in a few years. I think he's only 19 this year, maybe 20.

Conkers - I may well take you up on that offer. Really looking forward to the weekend - it's been too long since I last went to Assen. Since then this young Krasnikov bloke seems to become quite good.

All the best

Rob

Pity there are no Brits riding, but at €5 for 24 heats of Ice Racing - it's the bargain of the season!
