No offence , but the Ashfield Classic is already on this Sunday and the field is in place . Doesn't make a lot of sense to have two individual meetings in the North on that day . Berwick and Redcar riders are already committed to the Glasgow meeting and Edinburgh are riding at Birmingham . So it might be a struggle getting a field together .

They said they wanted a meeting to bring over some new foriengers, it doesn't have to have Berwick and Redcar riders in to make it great.

BTW Where did you find out about this meeting?

Just over 24 hours to this meeting and nothing but notification that a meeting is to be staged on the official website, no idea of who is riding, what the racing format is, admission prices or anything to do with the meeting. The silence coming out of the club has been deafening. How can they expect a good crowd with such little publicity.

I am afraid I have to agree with you on this one. If Graeme or Ricky are reading this, is there any chance of telling us the riders in this meeting, as I am sure the match magazine will have 'gone to the printers' by now, or are we going to be doing a lot of writing filling in the blanks tomorrow?

The Sapphire Enginieerng Diamonds face a tough task to come out on top in Sunday's Precision Trophy.

The Sapphire Engineering Precision Trophy takes place at the Newcastle Stadium on Sunday evening (Sept 28th @ 5.30pm).

In the meeting the 6 remaining Diamonds face tough top competition to come out on top in the meeting backed by their team sponsors.

Redcar duo, Ty Proctor and Chris Kerr will lead the challenge against the Sapphire Engineeriing Diamonds and first season success, Proctor, has made no secret of his liking for the Brough Park track.

Former Newcastle rider Carl Wilkinson will once again thrill the crowds as he lines up in the meeting alongside his team mate Emiliano Sanchez while Young England star also makes the journey north from his Sheffield base.

As well as the on track action there will be fun and games in the interval with several riders taking place in a wheelie competition to give added entertainment to the spectators.
