Chris 444 Posted April 12, 2009 (edited) Poor from Edward. Once he leaves the comforts of these shores he crumbles. Not helping himself by not bothering to ride in Poland either. Can't understand that at all when he needs all the experience riding abroad he can get. Needs to be alot tougher mentally. salty 2,208 Posted April 12, 2009 Poor from Edward. Once he leaves the comforts of these shores he crumbles. Not helping himself by not bothering to ride in Poland either. Can't understand that at all when he needs all the experience riding abroad he can get. Needs to be alot tougher mentally. Don't know if you remember Chris, but about 3 or 4 years ago, you sprang to Ed's defence about him swerving the World Under 21 Team Cup to ride for Rye one Saturday. My point then was that it didn't matter whether the competition was "Mickey Mouse" or not, but that the experience of riding abroad was all important. Very disappointed that Ed has missed out at such an early stage, but as you say missing out on Poland this year isn't going to help him when it comes to making it at the highest level. iris123 21,101 Posted April 12, 2009 Great day for Smoli.Shame about Ed.But i hope he does manage to get a few meetings in the Danish Superliga to get more experience of the continental tracks, and not just the same half a dozen or so tracks in England

Sir Jasper 192 Posted April 13, 2009 Looking at the meeting you would have expected those to go through with the exception of Smoli, but he was riding "at home" so you can perhaps expect it. Well done Bomber and well done Smoli, good to see Lindback carrying on his decent return to the sport.

Well done Bomber and well done Smoli, good to see Lindback carrying on his decent return to the sport. I am not really sure you can class Pocking as a home track for Martin.I am sure he has said before that they only get to ride there once or twice a season. And because of the lady who lives near-by there hasn't been any speedway there for a couple of years now.Glad they finally have got permission and are able to have meetings(well at least this one so far).I am sure she will be back complaining though....so we have to wait. But ok,Martin didn't have far to travel, but that is about all the advantage he had i would say
