Well done Sheffield, in Cardiff but not there. Interesting comments, thought Somerset had got through 'cos they had more wins than Newcastle in the first round. Really rate Auty, wish he'd make a move north!

Well done to Sheffield on Winning the Pairs, and also to Lyonsie & Jonno for winning their group and then coming Runners Up in the Final.

Was the racing any good then?

if josh was there (and winning) it would all have been from the back!!!

I think in every race he passed somebody, some races he passed 2 people, some races he even passed 3 people! He was simply stunning tonight, and Ashworth certainly played his part too.

The racing was terrific, especially later on. When Sheffield defeated Somerset in the Semi Final especially - Gathercole and Auty going right at it, swapping positions for fun and Parker nearly catching Ashworth on the line.

Brilliant night.

When Josh Auty makes the gate he goes through the tapes.

Said so.

I certainly remember those comments when I post that we would be Dark Horses, but the fact that Josh is riding really well and Ash is a Oak Tree track specialist, I always had a hunch that we would do well, a fact back up by yourself.

They didn't just do well, they did bloody well. What I'd give to see them both in Somerset colours next year - I'd say it's very likely that Ashworth could be heading our way though.

Out of interest I said it'd be a Sheffield and Newcastle final, and but for Kenni Larsen's retirement against Birmingham then it's possible that might of happened.

Well done to our southern counterparts, certainly a shock and a well earned victory. Also well done to our boys, Edinburgh who???, i recall a certain rider saying the following quote "It was like taking candy from a baby.". Anyway well done to all involved and roll on the fours.

I think we will be definite dark horses, and I think that we might provide a few shocks along the way.

How true

Well done sheffield from a very proud rebels fan absolute brilliant night, talking to loads of fans tonight and no one slated the track or the racing which really made me proud. Loved the sheffield fans after the meeting in the pits you lot were so nice and gracious in victory, no arrogance about winning, same goes to the glasgow fans who were gracious in defeat against the rebels.

And also thanks to the rebels promotion for a great night :D
