Were there no contingancy plans from the BSPA IN THE EVENT OF INJURIES, i am sure it will still be a decent evenings racing, with several top name Lynn track specialists. Trouble is no one seems to be learning from recent events.

Question is why 3 days before first GP and midweek are there no better dates available ?

Thanks to Screamer reminding me of the existence of Skybet i'll definitely go with that line-up. After all clearly they more than anyone need to have the correct riders listed.

Only thing i'm hesitating on now is that i need to be sure they are using the format in the 2009 regulations. The actual teams per heat is obviously correct but i have a slight reservation over helmet colours still particularly in heat 9. This is due to after scouring several reports from the Premier Pairs last year (same number of teams) i can't find any referencing helmet colours and they give differing order of line-ups pre-heat.

If the 2009 format applies all is good. I'll give it another twenty minutes of searching around and publish it as per Skybet line-up and format of 2009 regulations. Had some helpful PM's but no 'from the horses mouth' confirmation of the format.

Quite agree.

The pairs are just becoming a joke with withdrawals making it a waste of time.

Did not know Jake Knight was a `Elite League rider for Birmingham `?????

Disgraceful 'pair' for the Brummies. Birmingham should be fined.

And you should go get st*****d. How in any way is this Birminghams fault.

Attack the post not the poster.

Name me another sport where a team would be allowed to send such understrength representation to supposedly one of the marquee events of the season without punishment. Every time a team turns something like this into a farce they should be punished until they pull their act together.

People moan that speedway is too amateurish but would go mad if it was run like any other sport.

Ok looks like the meeting is all sorted now and i've made a racecard available as a direct download at the top of the racecard page. When i say 'looks like' that is of course not allowing for rider's van breakdowns, sudden onset of 'elite league pairs i can't be bothered with that flu' outbreak and of course the probably now likely to happen biblical plagues of varying sorts.

ELITE LEAGUE PAIRS RACECARD

Ok i've done my best despite all the confusion. I've gone for the 2009 format in the speedway regulations and with the line-up as per 'Skybet' less than two hours before the meeting starts. Now if anybody has to have the correct riders listed it is them. I've never had a racecard wrong before, however, this one is not guaranteed, but should be ok.

I pity the specatators at the track if the meeting programme has a pre-printed line-up from even a day ago. I should have gone to the meeting armed with pens, pencils and erasers to sell. I'd never have to work again i'd make so much money lol.

Please note that unlike the SGP racecards this one for the pairs is to be printed landscape as opposed to portrait. It's a nice large print version to be printed both sides of a single sheet or on two separate pages. It's a direct download with no advertising etc.

What do you expect from Birmingham fans? Apart from 1 or 2 they're always going OTT and whining about something.

I respect your opinion screamer lad but I'm afraid this event just doesn't represent value for money. Compare it to fifteen quid for 25 heats of SWC for instance. I've attended enough Stars meetings both home and away over the years to not feel guilty about staying at home this evening.

While i agree it is rather steep price wise, surely this is better value for money than the EL.

If i am right there are 24 heats tonight for £20 as opposed to 15 heats for £15.

But the SWC does represent great value for money.

I am going tonight purely to support our pairing and hope to see them win.

And if your so clever please tell me exactly what we could do about it? See if you can find a rider prepared to ride with only hours to spare. Oh and By the way to update an earlier list. Nermark is in Sweden and Barker is injured. The real culprits here are the Polish authorities and not Birmingham who are already going to suffer enough thank you very much without sugestions of fines. so I ask again what exactly can birmingham do about this situation?

Yet you say "Kings Lynn speedway, to my understanding wanted Peterborough out of business to increase there fan base" - a pathetic unsubstantiated piece of tittle-tattle that's hardly respectful of KL Management or their opinions.

Care to cite your sources?

yes....my ears and eyes......but this is not the place to get in a full blown discussion about the matter!!

Why don't you go and wrap yourself around a tree at 70mph and do the world a favour

As I said, always going OTT, a disgusting remark that my post did not warrant, but as I say I expected nothing less from people like you.
