Darky and THJ proved again that they own Liga 1 this year.

A young fellow called Sayfutdinov might have something to say about that. As might his semi-weird team mate Grzegorz Walasek.

Heheh...It's a shame that Liga 1 doesn't get some TV coverage. The Gdansk / Bydgoszcz matches should be good this year.

The first one is coming up in the next round of Liga 1 matches and the 2nd meeting is just 3 rounds after that...If I had the spare time, I'd be tempted to take in at least one of those matches.

Hts 14 and 15 are nominated. That's why Zagar and Pedersen were out in Hts 13 and 14. I'd be surprised if Gorzow top the league. At the minute Zielona Gora are top. I don't think Czestochowa will be bottom either.

Speedway at the Newcastle Stadium must be off the chart, i should go more often!

Another bad day at the office for Nicholls and Bridger at Gniezno .

They were talking tough on Bridger a couple of weeks ago. I doubt his Polish goose is cooked now. And he's so desperate to make a name for himself in Poland. Ah well, nevermind.

Just read the comments of participants after the meeting and it seems Gniezno are looking to make changes and Kacper Gomolski doesn't seem impressed with team mate Nicholls:

To be fair to Bridger , he doesn't really get a fair crack of the whip there . The week before against Bydgoszcz he won his first race comfortably , though he did come last in his second race as Start conceded a 5-1 . He was replaced in his next as Gniezno made a tactical substitution and his 4th ride was inexplicably taken by the aforementioned Gomolski .

As for Gomolski's moan about Nicholls . He's a bit excitable is young Mr Gomolski , and falls off with Chris Kerresque frequency . Likes a strop at referees too , which makes him rather entertaining .

As noted earlier in the thread, an extraordinary meeting in Gdansk yesterday where the hosts ran out easy winners (69-16) amid many falls, protests from the visitors (including refusing to ride in a couple of heats) and crowd unrest. It looks as if Poznan have released some video footage of some of the crashes in the early heats:

I don't think the last has been heard of this sorry episode.

With Rafal Dobrucki's season - and possibly his career - being over and Grzegorz Zengota still being some way off full fitness, Falubaz are looking at the options for bringing in a rider on loan. The names thought to be in the frame include Adam Skornicki (Leszno) and Tai Woffinden (Czestochowa):

And, sure enough, we hadn't heard the last of the debacle in Gdansk, as the visitors Poznan have petitioned the GKSZ for the result to be amended to a walkover in their favour. If they get no joy from the GKSZ, then they'll take their case to the PZM:

Still Gdansk versus Poznan rumbles on, with still more footage emerging. This time it is showing some of the alleged "protests" of the Poznan team, including tape breaking and Norbert Kosciuch's mysterious "retirement":

Gdansk have now called for the GKSZ to take disciplinary measures against Poznan for the actions of various riders and officials during Sunday's meeting between the two clubs:

The coastal club's president Maciej Polny is also a member of the GKSZ, but he will not be allowed to participate in any decisions made in relation to this scandal.

They are just looking for out-of-track ways of taking out each other... Nothing unusual in Polish sport (not only speedway)
