Whilst I do not doubt Edward Kennett's ability on many tracks his record at King's Lynn is very poor. Surely Oliver Allen would have been a better choice for the meeting at the Norfolk Arena?

Sorry guys it was a wind up.............

Hmmmmm, not sure it is think you are just backtracking because people are getting on your case. For me, 4 of the riders are the choices I would have gone for. I think Harris, Nicholls and Woffy were no brainers and Barker impressed me at Lynn earlier in the season and will enjoy the immense dirt on the track and Im sure will give his all and do us proud.

My only worry is Kennett. I think Eddie will be the first to admit that the Norfolk Arena isnt one of his favourite tracks and it was only a couple of weeks ago he scored 6 from 5. Although we cannot doubt that he is probably having his best season at present I dont think he is the correct choice to ride at Lynn. Saying this though I hope he makes me eat my words.

I would have though that Olly Allen would have been a better choice purely because he has been flying at Lynn recently and if he gates, which he normally does, he can beat the best.

Saying all that though I wish the team the best of luck and I will be proudly supporting them come July 11th to hopefully another qualifying round victory.

For me, Eddie Kennett is a better bet than Ollie Allen. If I was manager I couldn't leave Kennett out this year and I think Allen would be a gamble. He doesn't seem to have progressed in the last four years and I can't see him going any further than he is. Kennett has improved and matured and will probably be out and out number one in two or three years time and I fancy he will rise to the occasion at Lynn.

Olly for Kennett is just silly. Look what happened when we picked track specialists at Brandon ( I think it was 08) at one point it looked like Czech might do us!

Sorry bit off topic but just watched the "Bomber legend"...clip, still fires up all the emotions, thanks Truebee. :approve:

If Steady and King were fully fit and in form they could also have been in the frame.....i know all ifs and buts.

Ben Barker in Team GB,the guy is a PL rider with no ambition.

You mean the guy who 2.5 years ago when still only an 8 point PL man went full time EL?

There are a few things you can never accuse Barker of, one of them is having no ambition.

I understand that Barker has also been called up to be track reserve at Cardiff along with a GP 2012 qualifier this weekend all seems strange for a guy with no ambition

I dont think its really about how much they can improve in the future, its about where they are now. As I mentioned before Eddie has had a tremendous season to date but he has never cut it at the Norfolk Arena. Olly is currently averaging 8.64 at the Norfolk Arena this season which would have led me to swing it in his favour. I can't even recall Olly having a bad meeting at Lynn this season so far and when he gates he is very difficult to beat.

Bridger seems to be kicking up on Twitter after Barker being chosen ahead of him. Tbh Barker was always going to get the nod on current form and although I would've looked at Allen for the first round at Lynn.

Bridger wouldn't even make the squad if i was manager, ask Peterborough how he goes on a decent big track.I would go with Danny King myself, rides Lynn well and seems to be coming into form.

Bridger continues to show what a complete something something something he is on twitter. The lad has such a great talent which is just getting swallowed up by his attitude. It's such a shame. If he really knuckled down I'm convinced he really could be one of our best riders.
