Heavy rain after a few heats and then rain held up the meeting again after heat 12.f-s-p was live on the scene maybe he will have somethingtosay about the collapse of the Finns aftertherain delayed the meeting.Know Kevin Wölbert pushed over the line for a point(very valuable point in the end, after his bike packed up whilst he was in the lead)

So Germany are the team to fill in the last spot at Event 2 at King's Lynn... Congratz to them. Looks like Kevin Wolbert will get to race at the SWC at Lynn later this year ;)

This one was one those meetings where you had to be there to believe it. Training was cancelled due to rain, according to Aarnio's mechanic the right tool to ride the track was a canoe on sat evening. Still wet when I got there at around 1030. Finland got a great start, gates had a part in it but still. we continued that until heat 12 when Aarnio beat Smoli (no questions, fair and square) and at that point it was pouring even more. It was started raining heavily after/during heat 9 when Hautamäki was on, and at one point it was raining pieces of ice, the size of a diamonds two big for my wallet. Anyway, the meeting was in no way dragged by the ref, in fact the gradings were skipped to carry on. Then there was the break after 12, we were tied with DE with 7 or so wins against 4 or so and were winning with the track soaked, still raining and a 30 minutes break. So what happens next? It clears, our guys lose their edge, Germany keeps up and the Latvians get fired up... Like I said, you had to be there. You would have hated it. but the results by themselves dont tell even 5% of what happened.

A great pity for Finland (maybe next year it will rain for the whole match!).
