Prefer countback over performances in more races (five) than a single final run-off where a bad start, an accidental knock from another rider or mechanical problems ends it all.

When you've already made daft statements as "it would be better to use countback" (like they're going to use countback when GP places for the whole year are on the line), it's difficult to tell when you are joking.
