Clearly they are doing so again today as there is a link on the page to access the 'full' version - which yeah guess what? doesn't let you access it. Main NEW gripe today with so many people having needed to know if the meeting is on and other relevant news to that, is why oh why couldn't they use some common sense and have the page that one eventually lands on state whether it was on, clearly there was going to be high demand, instead we get a tortuous route as follows 1. Takes over ten minutes to finally land on the lo-fi page. 2. You click on the 'News' link and nothing happens for around five minutes so one tries the full version link. 3. Back to the ten minutes wait for the lo-fi welcome page as the previous step was a failure. 4. GrrRRRRR still no news as one has to click on another 'news' link to get to the news! 5. Again waiting and waiting for that page to opent. 6. OMG absolutely no news about the meeting being on or off on that news page! Why couldn't they post the very important information on the first lo-fi page you land on, if you are lucky after ten minutes to get on it? How inane to expect people to navigate through several pages when the site isn't loading due to demand and it's hell just to get on a site landing page. PUT THE INFO ON THE LANDING PAGE PLEASE. Why not have a re-dirrect to a page anywhere that gives the relevant information in quick time. waited ages for a page to load that said little. Not sure why this is all so difficult. The reason the Poole website is also slow to load is because the Birmingham website is so badly coded and this is causing other scripts to struggle to load across the whole server. Birmingham's webmaster and promotion have been fully aware of this for several weeks, but their webmaster has done next to nothing to correct it, whilst his pals have decided to take to social media to abuse individuals for taking down the site for a more than legit reason, I'm sure that the webmaster will be on here admitting all in due course and his pals will be offer their apologies to those they lambasted! The allegedly poorly coded Brummies website could manage 200+ visitors in an hour at lunch time but 'somebody' decided that as the Brummies reached the playoff finals, that 27 visitors in an hour was far too many and the website may crash the whole of British Speedway, possibly the UK government or even bring the whole world to a standstill. Even though a few hours earlier 10 times as much traffic didn't have that same impact...... Smells too me, smells beefy, bit of Bullie I would say! The facts last time are the same as this time, it doesn't matter if there was 1 visitor or 100'000 the ridiculous amount of script that the Brum webmaster uses causes all the issues, nothing to do with the hosting company, the BSPA, it's media partners or anyone else you care to blame! Massey Harris 47 Posted October 14, 2013 The facts are simple, on the last test Birmingham had 29 pieces of javascript running, 1 person accessing 29 = 29 scripts to load, 200 people accessing 29 = 5800 scripts to load all at the same time. On websites that use huge amounts of script there are a number of servers to balance the load but this eejit has single handedly commandeered the facility. Suspending the Birmingham site resolves every single issue so it doesn't take a Rocket Scientist to work it out just a competent webmaster. Share this post Link to post Share on other sites

You have clearly been indoctrinated, why has he got all that code running? Between you, you ripped into Povey last week and the server is maintained by another company completely and it is that company that has been monitoring the server and reporting the code faults but if it suits you to blame Povey and the BSPA and then gob off all over the social networks crack on! Sooner or later you will realise that it's not the 25 other sites that are at fault, if the server operator narrows it down to 1 site and that happens to be Birmingham your conspiracy theory is out of the water. Do bear in mind that Martin has had since the middle of August to correct this, had he done so the Birmingham site would never have been suspended at all. No doubt you will claim it's this supposed third party (not the administrator detailed on the holding page that was displayed) that decided if a suspension was required and at what time to commence it. We must also assume that the problems you have alleged were fixed for that suspension to have been lifted too? Yet the site still seems to be experiencing problems.
