Mr Blobby 2,662 Posted October 3, 2013 So tomorrow night could make or brake our season depending on the result we get tonight as we welcome our best friends Ipswich for which could be our last match of the season. The witches will be missing over half their team in Barker, Tungete, Lanham and Ellis and will replace them with Wethers , Klindt and possibly bates depending on his fitness and will use R/R for Lanham while the home boys will line up at full strength. Line ups for Friday: Edinburgh Craig Cook Max Fricke Claus Vissing Joe Tabaka Theo Pijper Liam Carr (G) Derek Sneddon Ipswich Matthew Wethers (G) Cameron Heeps Nicolai Klindt (G) Leigh Lanham R/R Morten Risager Josh Bates (G) Ritchie Hawkins

seanmuffe 105 Posted October 3, 2013 What would happen if tonight gets "rained off" is there a cut off date? Poole will qualify on the basis its in the best interests of Speedway
dontforgetthefueltapsbruv 10,706 Posted October 3, 2013 What would happen if tonight gets "rained off" is there a cut off date? Group A has got at least 2 weeks to run anyway so plenty of time - unless all the Witches have booked a holiday.

Had Enough 233 Posted October 3, 2013 I don't think Bates will be riding - apparently it was a fearsome fall he took at Compost Corner. Can the Witches also replace Klindt, please, please, please? If he's putting himself in the shop window, he's likely to end up covered in dust.
comet49 314 Posted October 3, 2013 Well done Edinburgh and hope you beat Somerset if it's them.
luluthetiger 221 Posted October 4, 2013 One has to presume that Ritchie Hawkins (with a wee fall in his last ride last night) won't make it over the border today. Just guessing, mind......

And how right you are mr Hawkins won't be riding tonight due to injury! While theo will make a late decision to see if he fit enough to ride tonight or not. dontforgetthefueltapsbruv 10,706 Posted October 4, 2013 (edited) I think Ritchie mustve lost his passport! lol Edited October 4, 2013 by dontforgetthefueltapsbruv
London Witch 57 Posted October 4, 2013 Is this the injury that Ritchie could have made worse by jumping up and clearing the track while Edinburgh were on a 5-1? Maybe next time he'll stay down for a re-run. He did collapse onto the centre green afterwards.
TheScotsman 2,483 Posted October 4, 2013 (edited) More likely his heat 2 fall when he didn't clear the track when just perhaps he might have. As the announcer commented - they are heavy things these speedway bikes!! But there again he did manage to come off another twice so who can tell I must say I was surprised that he did clear the track in 14 and ditto Schramm the bam in heat 7 given that Ippo were losing both races. Sad that it becomes a surprise when riders don't just lie there till it's stopped. Edited October 4, 2013 by TheScotsman
Bash 496 Posted October 4, 2013 (edited) More likely his heat 2 fall when he didn't clear the track when just perhaps he might have. As the announcer commented - they are heavy things these speedway bikes!! As I stated in the other thread they are heavy when it is lying ontop of you! Anyway on to tonights meeting you should get 60 against the Ipswich select team tonight. The Ipswich riders left looked like they were going through the motions last night, not surprising after what happened last weekend. Hope you get a better crowd than last night!
