Elite League Draft Riders

Recommended Posts

You are seriously mistaken to think all the top NL riders are on £10 a point. Especially the ones most likely to be given the opportunity for EL. I know of 2 being paid £45 + expenses.

This £10 a point is a minimum wage in the NL not the maximum

£10 IS the maximum, anyone paying more is breaking the rules. So yes, all rider in the NL are on £10 a point in the same way they'll be on £40 a point in the EL.

How can you place the riders ? all the rider has to do is say he's not going .

There is a list compiled which has more than twenty names on it, if you decline the offer of a place the next guy gets the offer, it's all explained in the Speedway Star.

WHY ? ....... Maybe because they chaarge virtually the same for a nghts racing as most EL tracks but pay considerablt less out on wages and would rather pay a total novice from Hugary, Argentina or Southern Peru than a 17 year old that lives a short bus route away from the track.

The National League is there to help bring British riders into the sport and they should be encouraged to move up the ladder as they progress and not go from Kindergarten to University.

Impressive research TNT although I did say this century not last so in reality even your list is quite slim. Wink

Find two more! It's not rocket science FFS! I know one rider who declined the offer until Phil had explained it all to him, that prompted a change of mind.

More fixtures, more continuity and more Brits. That is a step in the right direction as far as I'm concerned. You are obviously a glass half empty man. Anyway those that I'm aware of are keen to have a go at it, I doubt there will be many (if any) who turn down the chance.

From what I was told today by a National League rider they might have their backs up against the wall if they think they will have a host of riders taking up the chance.

It appears most that he knows are simply not interested.

Maybe he doesn't know the right ones ?

He knows a few & they're not interested & he usually is not far off the truth.

Guess we will have to wait & see as surely they wouldn't have assumed all would fall into plan without doing some enquires before?.

Would they?????????
